Bridges Golf Course
About
Bridges Golf Course is a municipal, 18-hole course that sits on the northeastern side of Madison, just south of the airport. It’s popular with locals since it’s both affordable and challenging. The layout starts out on low-lying wetlands and then on the back nine it climbs up a ridge along Anderson Avenue. For a championship golf course it’s not particularly long at 6,900 yards from the back tees, but golfers will still face several tricky holes. Players of all skill levels will enjoy Bridges Golf Course for its variety of risk-reward opportunities. It’s not terribly punishing though so beginners can approach it with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Bridges offers a practice facility that includes a driving range and two separate practice greens for chipping and putting.

Good cheap round
For $25 for 18 and a cart this was a great value. The greens were just airaited so they were a bit Sandy and bumpy. Otherwise it was over all in great shape.
Way overpriced
I play courses in Metro Chicago that are much more manicured than this one for the money. I think I paid $69? I was disappointed
Bridges gave me some troubled water!
I was in town for a couple weeks. Chose Bridges because it was close and affordable. The staff was friendly, the regulars too. Since I was alone, I paired up with locals and enjoyed all of their company.over the course of 6 rounds. I was having issues pulling the ball and was punished for it. Lots of lateral water hazards hurt my score, but it was my swing flaw that needed correction. The greens were in good shape, and the sand was consistent. It was because of the affordable greens fees and friendly people that I kept coming back. That, and I wasn't going to stop until I hit 85 or better!
A good go to golf course
I'm liking The Bridges Golf Course the more I play it. It has reasonable course difficulty and plenty of natural hazards. It's interesting watching the nearby airport activity. I find the people (golfers and staff) are friendly. This is an easy course to find with a good central location for those coming from all over the state.
This course is average
Decent course. Hot day and no water coolers on the course. Nice.
First time at Bridges
Enjoyed the course and was in very good shape. They did an above good job in spacing the golfing groups.
Has a driving range, however the large bucket prices for range balss was exceptionally high $16.00 vs $10.00 of comparable course range charge.
Great scenery
Courses in great shape. And a good value. Saw 3 deer run across the course and 4 F-16's take off from the airport across the street. Also like the fact that this course is in Madison, WI. But no houses can be seen from the course.
Great Track for the hot deal!
Very tight course. Have to be accurate, but not overly long. Ground can be a little spongey on the marsh-y holes, but not too bad. Overall the course was in good shape!
Added bonus: if you’re there on the right day, F-16s will take off over head from the airport just a few blocks away! Memorable day of golf for sure.
