About
Bridges Golf Course is a municipal, 18-hole course that sits on the northeastern side of Madison, just south of the airport. It’s popular with locals since it’s both affordable and challenging. The layout starts out on low-lying wetlands and then on the back nine it climbs up a ridge along Anderson Avenue. For a championship golf course it’s not particularly long at 6,900 yards from the back tees, but golfers will still face several tricky holes. Players of all skill levels will enjoy Bridges Golf Course for its variety of risk-reward opportunities. It’s not terribly punishing though so beginners can approach it with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Bridges offers a practice facility that includes a driving range and two separate practice greens for chipping and putting.

Good Fall Golf
It was a beautiful day for some fall golf. The course was in good condition except for the greens. They had air-rated the greens so it make them very bumpy when putting. Everything else was good for a fall tee time.
Rough course condition
Really badly kept condition. Tee boxes were like a sponge and so were the greens. Lots of mud patches everywhere. Mowing was inconsistent. Lots of bugs since this is essentially located in a swamp.
Better Conditions
I used to play on a coed league at this course about 10 years ago. I haven't been back but the course was not in good shape. Also, we were disappointed about a group of 5 in front of us the made our outing about 5 hours, which we were not happy about.
We thought the layout of the course and the price were great, but it seems like they are more focus on the outdoor venue than the course itself.
Cartpath only but course was fairly dry
The course was in good shape after the recent torrential rain. I was pleasantly surprised given that it was generally unplayable in the past after rain.
Ridiculous Attitude
The young woman working in the pro shop who checked me in, had the personality of a crow bar.
I like the course and will come back
Course was in pretty decent shape given this time of year and weather. Obviously the virus issues continue to affect amenities. They are also doing repairs to the 18th hole.. Greens were in nice cobdition.
Greens
I thought the greens were average at best. The pace of play was as brisk as the weather.
Nice, challenging course by the Airport
Course is nice and has lots of opportunities to make you think about ball placement. Lots of marsh and water to lose you golf balls in. Thanks Becky!
