Blue Mash Golf Course is the Rockville area's premier public offering. This Arthur Hills design combines links-style, parkland, wooded, and water holes. With such an interesting variety, the course is enjoyable for golfers of all different tastes and skill levels. With no forced carries, it's even a manageable course for beginners and high handicappers, while more seasoned golfers will be challenged by the length from the back tees, the well protected elevated greens, and the plentiful strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes. The diverse mix of holes makes Blue Mash G.C. a true shotmaker's layout. In addition to the golf course, Blue Marsh is known for having one of the best practice facilities in all of Maryland. It features a 10,000-square-foot putting green, an all-grass-tee driving range, and a separate area for practicing your short game.

Great course
So many Virginia courses are burned out by a brutal summer, but Blue Mash is great!
Could have been fun
It's a nice course but expensive. For what you pay you should get top notch service and that didn't happen. Cart people looked at their phones or walked away. No one outside to tell you where to go. Greens were great and fairways were good. The problem is they put sand traps right in the middle of fairways so that no matter what tee you hit from if you hit a good drive you end up in a trap. That kind of layout doesn't make a good course. It makes it a no fun course so why play it.
Good layout, great grass, good pace
One of the top munis I have ever played and on par with most private courses. Tee boxes, fairways, bunker sand, greens all in great shape. Huge rain the night before so I can attest that it drains well. Moved to the top of my preferred DMV rotation.
Soggy but Great round
I have not played BM in a while, the course is in really good shape, even after several inches of rain. As always, people need to fix their divots - there is not a robot that does this
One of Maryland’s Best!
The staff is professional, kind, and “player focused.” The environment created by the staff is akin to that you pay thousands for at a probated club. As an example, one staff member was driving around in a cart checking on players and asking how the front nine went and if there were any concerns about anything! Another was perched on a hilltop between fairways serving as a forecaddie and locating errand shots for players. Each nine hd its own food and beverage cart and staff member. I was impressed with the level of customer service. The course conditions did not disappoint either. Fairways were pristine and the greens were fast and true. The sand in the traps and bunkers was consistent and well maintained. A very enjoyable round and a true commitment by the staff to honor this game we love to play. Well done Blue Mash.
Very nice course
Great conditions and very interesting course. The food and drinks are also good. I will be coming back as often as possible.
Very overpriced for what you get.
2 groups clearly slowed down the whole course, Marshall’s very aware of it, did nothing. $140 for an almost 5 hour round is not ideal
