The Cascade at Gold Mountain Golf Course
About
There are two championship courses available at Gold Mountain Golf Club, the Cascade and the Olympic. Taking advantage of the dramatic Pacific Northwest surroundings, the courses offer stunning views from nearly every hole. If the dramatic elevation changes of the Olympic Course are overly intimidating, the more walkable Cascade Course will be ideal. It may be less challenging but that doesn't mean it's easy. The openness of the golf course is misleading, if you want to score low you will actually need strategic, well placed shots on each hole. There are some tricky holes but overall it's a course that will appeal to players of all skill levels. Ample driving areas frame the tree-lined fairways and the player-friendly greens are open and inviting. Gold Mountain's Cascade Course is often the top choice for tournament play.

Best municipal course around
Best municipal course I've ever played here in the U.S. The staff is very friendly and the course is very well maintained. I've played courses all over the world including the Plantation course in Thailand where the LPGA Honda Classic is played and I can say this course on par with private courses and resorts. The only recommendation I can give is in my opinion it's best to play during the week, as weekend crowds can push your round close to six hours.
Best All Around Course I ever played
This was hands-down the best course I have ever played. The greens are challenging, the fairways well-maintained, the practice facilities absolutely excellent (I think there were 5 full size chipping/putting areas, each with 6+ holes), the price was very reasonable considering the condition of the course $33 for 18 holes during the summer. Also we were greeted by at least 4 different employees just in the time we walked from the parking lot to the clubhouse & onto the practice area.
6+ hour round
Our 2:10 tee time was delayed because of a tournament and both courses were over booked and running late. We finished our round at 8:15 with many waits at each hole. The good news is there was an air show at the Bremerton airport so our foursome was entertained while waiting. We will try not to play on a Saturday if they are going to overbook like that. I'd suggest calling the pro shop to see if they are tunning on time......
A cascade of satisfaction
The weather was perfect and the greens fast and well trimmed. The fairways and rough were appropriately cut and overall the navigation of the course was adequately represented. The hole numbers could be better served by diagrams of the actual hole, which is most helpful to first time players at the course. We walked it for exercise but I would recommend a powered cart for the hilly back nine. We joined two others who were very nice. The starter was efficient and helpful with advice about the course.
Nice golf course, well maintained
Driving from Seattle is a bit too far, but over all it pays to play at this golf complex.
Enjoyable day on a fun course to play.
The Cascade course at Gold Mtn is sometimes thought of as a sub-standard alternative to the Olympic course but I think the Cascade has plenty to offer. The undulating greens and tight fairways make this course a significant challenge. We went with our wives (20 plus handicappers) who had a blast and our round was finished in 4 1/2 hours which was great.
This was our first time to Gold Mountain and it was well worth it
We made this a destination day of golf and it could not have been any more perfect. The course we played was fantastic (Cascade) and every aspect of the experience was superior. On top of that Golf Now hot deal made it the best value of golf I have experienced yet. I just finished recommending it to a friend.
Very forgiving
This course has fair sized fairways which makes it forging for average golfers.
Great course and we played in the rain all day
I want to play it on a Sunny Day, we played in the rain all day and still had a great time. Very interesting and challenging course
awesome course
This course held up very well during our play in the rain. The greens were perfect despite wet conditions. Also by using golfnow we saved on green fees.thanks
A perfect walk thru beautiful hilly terrain, in pristine condition with fast play, fast greens, and a little room for error.
Loved the golf course. Fairways are forgiving, giving you extra room to keep the ball in play. Greens are true and fast. Some blind elevated greens, but that concept made it fun. Used all the clubs in my bag.
Speed of play great, everyone kept moving.
Most golfers were able to walk the course. Greens were well kept, and obvious that the golfers themselves repair divots and ball marks. Staff super friendly.
Great course to practice putting on fast green
Course is not too long but elevation change make it play longer, fairway are in excellent conditions and the rough are not too tall perfect for spring condition but you will needs to have some kind of range finder since they don't have many marker on yardage which make it difficult to judge the distance, this golf course doesn't have many hazards but fast green will post some challenge to your putting skill, over all it's fun course to play and make you feel good after the round.
This is the best course for the price in Western Washington.
You cannot beat this course for the price. It is owned by the taxpayers of Kitsap County, but you would never know it. The two courses are very different in appearences and difficulties. This by far and wide my favorite course in this area.
Course in great shape.
Couple soggy over watered spots, otherwise the course was great. Pretty layout. Green were quick and smooth. Gotta be one of the best deals in the state for the money.
Great staff
Staff was great. I had to rent clubs since I was on vacation. They gave me a great rate and got me on the course quickly. The course was also in great condition.
This course has the greens running quick.
We played on the 'hottest day' of the year. We found that the course was in great shape and that you really had to concentrate on your putting. The greens were running very quickly and ultimately that really demands that your approach shots are landing where you want them to. Excellent value for any golfer. Almost every hole will demand that you put your tee shot in the right area. We played 18 on Cascade in 4 hours, so we couldn't be happier with that pace of play.
Never had this long game in 25 years of golfing..5 hours and 20 minutes !!!..TERRIBLE !!!
The course is excellent but rangers should control better the pace of the game, there were many starting golfers that should at lesat be controlled to give passage for regular golfers so game flow is not jeopardize.
This course is in good condition.
The course was fun to play, not too difficult. The views were great. And the food was delicious.
Golf Now got us on this beautiful course for less than the price of a meal!
This is a destination golf club with 2 courses beautifully carved into the Olympic forest. The conditions were impressive this early in the season and the pace of play was perfect.
Next time, we will play the Cascade in the morning, break for lunch on the deck overlooking the mountain range, play the second 18 on the Olympic course and finish the day with cool cocktails in the lounge.
Must Play in the Seattle Area!!!
I got the 36 with Cart deal. Played the Cascade Course in the morning, had lunch, then played the Olympic Course that afternoon. Both courses were beautiful, but the Olympic course was set up for the West Conference College Championships. So it was LONGER and FASTER!!!
Excellent Facility!!!!!!
