About
Designed by Rees Jones, Broad Run Golfer's Club boasts one of the best layouts in the area. The course sprawls across over 370 acres of rolling hills countryside. The dramatic elevations are definitely not something you would expect from a golf course that is conveniently situated so close to downtown Philadelphia. The elevated tees feel as though they're in the clouds and mature trees frame most of the holes. There are hazards lurking throughout the golf course including swampy marshlands and tall, dense grasses that are all just waiting to swallow errant shots. It is a challenging layout no doubt but it is made more player friendly with generous fairways and Jones was also light on the bunkering. One of the most difficult and scenic holes is the par-5 15th. This hole plays uphill, featuring a blind tee shot to a plateau green surrounded by trees.

Golfer Reviews
Absolute Stunner of a Course
This course was the best I have played this year. Overall great condition from rough to the greens. The only downfall was the bunkers were somewhat muddy, but it was after the few days of rain we recieved. I drove about an hour to get here and it was completely worth it.
Round review
Mist/fog filled the early AM. You could not see 20 yards ahead and we had no choice but to play. We were told our pace was slow which should be expected since our first 3 holes were ruined due to the elements.
Great Layout
The course is in very good condition with one glaring exception. The traps need fresh sand and to be worked. They are awful.
Always enjoyable
When I see a deal for this course, I GRAB IT!! Usually a bit out of my price range, but worth playing once a year.
Fast greens, honest and fair rough and an awesome layout are the norm here. Even with a lot of recent rain, only 5 holes were cart path only. but all the bunkers were washed out and playing as ground under repair. I’m never happy with a 5 hour round,, but always like playing Broad Run.
Did not disappoint
Hadn’t played there in two plus years. Was a bit surprised to find decent Saturday AM availability on short notice - made me a bit concerned there was something i didn’t know.
Was pleased to find a tightly run ship. A cart was brought to our car when we parked. Pro in the shop was very friendly as i had spoken with him several times prior trying to get a day/time that worked our round.
Starter was friendly and casual. Course was in good shape. Fairways all well cared for. Rough well maintained if maybe a bit thin. Greens rolled well despite soft conditions from lots of rain in the days leading up.
Pace of play was decent, getting around in 4:10. And boardley house patio was open with good food to settle up our post round bets.
Still a great track.
Takes some time for people to get off the first hole. But moved quickly after that. Bottled up again at 17.
Always a pleasure!
Really enjoy playing here and today was no different. Credit to the greens crew in keeping the course in great shape with the lack of rain that we have been experiencing. Be back again soon I hope.
Hot Deal
Found this as a same day hot deal and couldn’t pass it up. Very challenging course but In great condition. A lot of hills and blind shots but easy to score and make some great shots. Definitely want to play again now that I have seen it and know what to expect.
Greens were aerated recently but it didn't matter, they rolled true with a good amount of pace, fairways were nice and firm. An outstanding course, especially for a hot deal. Can't wait to go back
Bad Greens-Unsanitized Cart
The greens were horrible, slow and bumpy on a day I was charged full price of $100. There was a dirty band aid in the cup holder indicating they had not cleaned the cart at all, let alone sanitized for Covid protocol.
Memorable Course
Staff was laid back and very accommodating. Starter had all the do this, don't do that down pat like a drill sergeant. Had to ask him to repeat a few things and he was more than happy to.
Pace was perfect, course was awesome...except the bunkers need some work. I know it's early in the season so give them a break. There are many blind shots so bring your GPS...can't emphasize this enough. Never played such and interesting course with straight holes.
Slow play
Airated greens and slow play today. All in all it was still a nice day.
We appreciate the review. You rated us 3-stars which means there is room to improve on your recent experience at Broad Run Golfer's Club. Let us know, in the comments, how and where you would like to see changes from the course. Thanks for the feedback!
