Broad Run Golfer's Club

I play broad run all the time, but this is now the 2nd year in a row where I’ve booked a tee time with zero idea the greens had just been aerated. There was nothing posted in their website and GolfNow about recent aeration, and the clubhouse and starter both failed to mention it. Maybe it’s me, but that just seems wrong and deceitful. I would have booked another course had I known this. At the very least they should be making it well known it just went through aeration, and hopefully offering a slight discount due to the conditions.

In addition to this aeration, the every green had a significant amount of poa annua growing in it. This made for a very bumpy day of putting. I won’t be back until June when all of the poa has died. Get it together Broad Run!

This is a great golf course. However....... Unbelievably Poa annua fas invaded the greens.. This simply means no putt rolls like You would want. They all track in crazy ways. Or bounce. And the greens look like a bad painting from the 1960's

If you have never played here before, DO!! Awesome layout, spectacular views, always well above average conditions. Looking forward to returning SOON!!!

Definitely one of the best places to play in my area. And when you get a hot deal, it’s a no brainer!

Everyone was very friendly, especially the starter. Would recommend for sure!

Wow! Full rate of $115 to play winter golf in February?!?!?! Then they tell us that we can’t play the first hole so we had a match based on 17 holes. The greens were pathetic and the bar was closed! Don’t waste your time or money on this place. They have given up trying to care and just want to collect crazy rates for a sub-par course that isn’t managed at all.

It's really nice for the time of year and price. summer prices are to high for what it is.

The layout is challenging but fair. Conditions are excellent.

Nice view, good shape, and nicely designed course!

Only downfall to the course is pace of play. Broad run has to a better job. 4.5-5 hour rounds are way to long.

What a great course. I have not played in years and so glad I came back. A gorgeous course in terms of scenic views and feels like you are in the mountains. A very challenging course and need to be able to get off the tee. A lot of fairways undulated so depending on shots may get some very favorable rolls. Course in excellent shape and highly recommend playing. I can’t wait to come back. Will be a beautiful course in the fall once the leaves change with the gorgeous views.

Fun outing - course was in great condition. Staff was so helpful and friendly.

Wait a couple of weeks and enjoy the round. Or give your green fees to the course now and have a sub par experience.

It’s maddening how very few courses will alert their customers in advance of aerated greens. I enjoy Broad Run immensely but this deceptive practice ruined my day. I won’t play here again this year because of this. Probably 4-5 rounds of green fees lost by Broad Run. I’ll play next year but will call the pro shop every time and ask about conditions.
