About
Blue Heron Golf Course, formerly known as Carnation Golf Course, first opened in 1967 but underwent a major renovation, in addition to the name change, after it was bought in 2011. Located in the Snoqualmie Valley, the course would occasionally be overrun by the Snoqualmie River but thanks to improved drainage and irrigation features added in the renovation, the course is able to drain remarkably fast. At just a few yards shy of 6,000 yards, Blue Heron G.C. is on the shorter side but that is no indication of its level of difficulty. Golfers will face a variety of challenges including an abundance of bunkers strategically placed throughout. One of the toughest holes is the par-5 17th, which is a blind tee shot where a long iron might come in more handy than a driver.

Get what you pay for
I'm not an avid golfer, mainly a beginner. They ran out of carts. First time walking a course. We waited at about 9 of the holes we played. The course was muddy and lots of mosquitoes. Still scratching. Overall the course was ok and I'd probably play there again. The clubhouse was open and we got a great burger, fries and some calamari after we were done. Nice bogey round.
Blue Heron
For the money charged this course was awful. It is not maintained. The sand traps were covered with weeds. The weed controls on this course is nonexistent. There is a large tree down across the fairway on one of the first 9holes. Keep in mind we paid over $80 to golf 9 holes for the two of us! I had higher expectations. I can not in good faith recommend this course.

Affordable price....for a reason.
Tee boxes are all trashed. Lumpy, uneven, bare spots. The rough is basically just weeds and clovers. The blue tees (just under 6K yards) are forced positions and feel unnatural playing from them. Some fairways and most greens were in good shape at least. Some of the trees have grown over the years and constrict normal ball flight windows.

Good for the price
After being closed for a while the fairways were long and unkept. Overall good for the price.

They are back!!
After some of the worst flooding in years, the course has bounced back amazingly. The maintenance staff worked miracles getting the course in playable condition. The pricing is the lowest around. Great value. Highly recommend.

greens punched the day before. No mention of that on Golfnow.
Greens had been punched the day before and no mention of that when we had to prepay. Kinda deceptive to show up and find out that the greens are unplayable and the two putt rule is in effect. Otherwise course was a nice little municipality course.
Country Course
They are doing their best. It's a quiet short Course. Very friendly staff
Course in good shape. Course staff is extremely helpful and nice.
Conditions Improving
The greens were in excellent shape and the fairways are very good. Much improved since a month ago.

Played a round today. Course conditions were great, pace was great; had a great time just wish the results were better. I would recommend Blue Heron to anyone.
