Alabama’s public golf course system is exceptional and courses like Ballantrae make it so.

Impressive vistas on most holes, we’ll maintained fairways, fast greens and fluffy bunkers, even after multiple days of rain.

As a medium-high handicap player the course was fair and rewarded good play.

Bottom line: I’ll definitely be back!

Pace of play was terrible. You literally have to wait about 15 minutes each hole just to hit your shot. Left early to avoid a 7 hour round.

Nice condition

The course was in great condition considering all of the rain the last couple of days. Greens were fast and smooth, fairways were good and not as wet as I expected. The course drains well, very few areas of standing water. Definitely will be back soon.
