Nice track for the winter
The course was in descent shape considering the time of the year. However, no amenities were available.
No turn
There is no turn on this course. So if your going to play be sure to grab your refreshments before you start your round. Because you won't see the club house again until your done.
Needs Work
The course was OK at best. There were several areas of damaged fairways with weeds and ruts going through them. There were several times we had to take a drop when we landed in the fairway.
Nice course
Ok... This is the second review of this course from me. I will have to retract a couple things about my first review. The fairways and tea boxes were in immaculate condition. The day I played the tea boxes were a little shaggy but not impossible to deal with. Greens were in decent condition, a few unrepaired ball marks that looked more than a day old. I paid $35 to play 18 holes which I think is a good deal. (Not a great deal). My issue is their normal price which is 45 to $50 is way too high for this course.
Dardenne
Starter was very pushy. Only to push into waiting every shot. They definitely got their money by overbooking and not forcing pace of play
Where are the Marshals?
The court is in wonderful condition. Fairways are great. Greens are really nice. But there were four groups waiting for the tee on the back nine from 10 on. No marshal anywhere to be seen.
It really takes the fun out of a round when you sit for 20 minutes to hit. It never sped up.
Clubhouse
The clubhouse is not at the turn so if you want to go in and refresh after 9 holes it’s not an option. We didn’t take advantage of the restrooms after 7 holes and that was a mistake
Greens were in great shape
THe greens on this course were in perfect shape. Other than folks not repairing their ball marks it was in perfect shape.
Great Value
This is a relatively short course, but it has some interesting hole layouts and keeps things interesting. Greens were in good shape, overall good course conditions. Good value for the money.
Course for scramble events
The course was in good shape. Tough to make long putts due to bumpy greens. Multiple blind shots left you not knowing if you hit a good shot.
link style
when I think of a link style course I think of a course like a Scottish type but no the less it was a nice place to play. only real complaint is that on the turn it doesn't go to the clubhouse so bring some snacks cause you won't see the clubhouse until you're done and the beverage cart doesn't have anything to really help.
Straightforward and forgiving
Course is in great shape. Very straightforward track. Other than 2 doglegs, dead straight layout. Not much water or sand to contend with and fairways are wide. Advanced golfers might find this course to be little challenge. Ideal for scrambles and rounds with your buddies while cocktailing and swinging for the fences.
Fun, Playable Course
The course is a relatively flat course, with very limited trouble. A true links course that you don't see the clubhouse again until you reach hole 18. The design is decent for a flat course. The course conditions were good also. With a slope of 110 from the white tees, it is easier than the average slope of 113. It is a well marked golf course. Front, back and middle yardages on sprinkler heads and par 3's.
From a previous round, I know the course does not drain well. Try not to play after any major rain. Some of the fairways have numerous humps and bumps in them, I would guess from the issues of drainage.
