Pheasant Run Golf Course

I’m not the type to make reviews of this tells you anything about how bad my experience was. It was in terrible course condition and had terrible customer service. They kicked my group off the course because “the course wasn’t packed enough” essentially meaning that they weren’t making enough money at the time to stay there and allow us to stay there and finish our round because “it’s not worth keeping the lights on”, which was their exact words. We only had a few holes left to finish and they wouldn’t compensate us for the money we spent with them. This was over an hour drive for my group. I would highly recommend keeping your money and staying away from this course because you would think as a par 3 course/night golf course, they would expect to be there at night to allow their customers to finish their round. If us being there was too late, don’t allow tee times to start when they did and push them up earlier in the day.

I love this course. I think it is a hidden gem. It is a tough little Par 3 course that challenges your game and makes you play smart golf. They maintain the course well and have a nice driving range. The staff is always friendly. My only complaints are the pace of play and the sand traps. The pace of play gets backed up in the afternoons as it is a short course and you have to wait to tee off at nearly every hole. This usually only happens when they have the leagues out there. The sand traps are like hitting off concrete, but for the price, this is a wonderful course. The tee boxes and greens are very well maintained.

I did not realize it was a par 3 course when we booked it. We played the side with two par fours and enjoyed the course. Course was well maintained and in spite of the r group in front of us playing slow, still loved reasonably well.

New golfer and went and played a round by myself. Was paired up with a couple and had a great time. Course was challenging yet a lot of fun for me as a beginner.

Pheasant Run is mostly a Par 3 course, with the exception of three Par 4's.

Let's start with the positives of the course. The design of the course is very pleasing to the eye. The greens have a nice sandy base that helps with limiting ball marks/smudges on their greens. The price of $34 for 18 holes is attractive.

Here are the negatives about the course. Pace of play was awful. It became extremely awful when they put out an additional foursome in front of us, as we made the turn. You simply cannot do this!

The greens are extremely slow and fuzzy.

There are 3 greens that are ridiculous in their design. With 4-5 levels. Hole 3 & 15.

Many of the tees needed to be mowed. Holes 6, 12 & 13. Some of the fescue blades of grass were 4 inches high.

On hole 5, if the pin is cut right, there is a tree in the way.

Normally, I would give this course a 3-star rating. However, the pace of play (letting another group in front of us on hole 10) is unacceptable.

They should not let 4-somes through onto the back 9 as others are coming around from the front 9 - really slowed the pace of play - poor management

Staff great..

Great course, lots of fun, well kept, greens nice, carts nice, club house well kept, staff friendly and helpful, and I had fun playing.

It’s early in the gold season and the course was a little rough. Not a big deal, I understand. Value is great and pace of play was good. I recommend for a fun day out with the kids or wife.

Good course to start your year off right. Very enjoyable.
