Nice layout
Above average course. Nice design and variety of hole layouts. Not cookie cutter whatsoever.
Greens in very good condition. Tee boxes very close to very good condition. Fairways are wide on most holes. Fairways do have some rough patches but mostly in good shape. I think if you hit it where you should hit it is where the fairways are in best shape.
Rough has a variety of conditions but I think that’s to be expected. Traps well maintained.
Challenging but fair. Helps to play it with someone who is familiar. A few blind hazards. I will play here again. I just wish it was closer to Bellevue or Seattle.
Challenging and excellent course
Excellent course. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The course starter was awesome, Very personable and knowledgeable on the course and very enthusiastic which is nice to experience to calm the nerves on the first tee.
Pace of play was great on the front nine but at the turn we had 3 groups bunched up ahead of us. The starter came out to see what was happening and pace of play picked up again.
The course was in good condition considering the amount of rain it must’ve received recently. Tee boxes were in great condition.
Greens were very fast and were tough to get a read For our group but another round will help sort that out.
Would have been nice if the drinks cart operator slowed down to ask if we’d like to buy a drink. Every time we saw them they just drove straight past as if they didn’t want to stop and offer drinks which is unusual for that position.
Completed the round in a little over 5 hours but it was a great time.
Will be back
Weekday Round
Guy in the pro shop looked distracted. He could have been more helpful. Pace of play was 4.5 hours for a weekday round. Course lay out was fun. Greens were great but slower than they look. I think a riding cart is a must for the back 9. Speaking of riding carts. I had cart #83. Brakes were touchy as soon as you pressed on them they locked up. Suspension was non existent. I felt every bump. Guys in my group said their cart wasn’t any better.
3 months Later after a round in early June
Although we got a great rate on Golf Now for a Sunday Prime Time round at 9:20, AM, it was a severe disappointment on the condition of the fairways in general all around the course compared to 3 months prior, when it was in peak condition. Realize that we have had an extremely dry summer in the NW, however many other courses have managed to keep their fairways in proper condition despite the same circumstances..
The greens were in nice shape in retrospect.
If I had paid peak normal rates, I would be very disappointed.
I’m not sure why it has fallen to this level. Like I mentioned, other courses facing the same heat levels, seemed to fair much better.?
Avoid this course
It pains me to say this, as the course itself is quite fun. The layout was challenging and fair, and the greens rolled really well. But the pace... This was the longest round I've played in years. After 9 holes, our 3-some was at about 2:45. I took a moment to ask the pro-shop if they'd send a marshal out to move things along, but was informed that they didn't have marshals and that 2:45 isn't too far off the expected pace. Moving forward, there were always at least 2 groups waiting on every tee box. A marshal (!) did actually show up and we asked if there was any relief in sight. His words and advice: no, this is pretty normal, and I'd advise you never to play here on the weekends. While we appreciated the candor, this is a pretty awful message for a golf course to convey. Rather than do something about the pace, they tell people to just avoid playing there. Well, our threesome received the message loud and clear and have agreed that we'd never go back. Oh well. Plenty of other great courses in the area to play.
