Nice Course and Very Friendly Staff
The course itself was in very nice condition and played quickly as there weren't too many golfers on the course when I played around noon. The course was very wide open for the most part and quite forgiving on most sprayed shots.
The staff was all very friendly and helpful and made me feel like a valued guest even though I had never played there before.
It was a nice nice golf experience even though I bogeyed the last 3 holes to shoot 80.
Grat Course
Best 30.00 course I have ever played. Immaculate Condition. Only Adverse problem Course has regs that RESTRICT FOOD DRINK AND COOLERS. OK but course only has 5 water stations. How can you Hydrate in 100 plus Temps. Pro at the Shop said restrictions were meant to keep people from bringing alcohol onto the course. Their rules make it user UNFRIENDLY to bring your own WATER
fun course, friendly service.
I had a great time. Weather was nice, the course was in good shape, pace of play was good..Overall had a great experience. The staff was very nice and helpful.
An ideal maountain/dessert couse for vacationers.
My wife and I played this course as part of our golf vacation devoted to mountain/desert courses unique to American golfing experiences. Although Ledges has not been rated by others as one of the top courses in the Southern Utah/Northern NV regions , we found it thoroughly enjoyable to play. Unlike a few of its more notorious neighbors, the course is moderately challenging with some spectacular scenery to make it almost ideal for vacationers. We have not encountered any holes which border on being ridiculous in design. We also found that both fairways and greens are well kept. While there are a few houses throughout the entire course, they are moderate in numbers, at least up to the present, and are not intrusive. As the green fees are moderately priced, we would recommend that you play it before it becomes clustered by real estate development.
amazing scenary
This course is awesome, each hole has its own challenge to keep you alert through the whole course, it also has amazing scenary of snow canyon
Enjoyable golf outing
We played on Memorial Day and the conditions were excellent. We found a great rate on GolfNow. We got lost on our way to the course and so were running a little late for our tee time. We called Tom in the pro shop and he was very understanding. He was able to get us right out on the tee. There were millions of tiny grasshoppers along the edges of the course but they were more than a nuisance than a bother. We had an enjoyable round and will definitely play here again.
The back nine has some incredible views.
My wife and I really enjoyed the course and the beautiful views all around us. We did get to share the front nine with a lot of grass hoppers.
Great course, Great Price.
Some glitch in system, Course didn't have tee time. Took tee time confirmation print-out. They were good to get us out to play. A couple of greens had Winter damage. Back 9 is harder than front 9.
Has feel of country club feel to course and amenities. Has no on course rest rooms, but a port-a-potty on each 9.
A few holes have spectacular view of the surrounding Snow Canyon area.
Back 9 is the best part of the course
The front 9 very bland and boring. It's not until the back that the course get interesting and where all the views come in. Most hole's are fair if not easy tee to green but the greens have some extreme tiers. If you on the wrong the tier 3 putts could be common. I've played a lot of nicer courses for less money but the price is about right when you average out the course the whole course.
St George Golf
I am a 7 handicap who is visiting the St George area for a few weeks. The most important part of a golf course for me is the green condition. I prefer fast greens with undulation. These greens have plenty of undulation requiring more than a quick look to find the line. The green speed was very slow perhaps as slow as an 8. The condition of several greens was very poor with areas without grass. Perhaps this is due to the timing of my play as this appears to be the slow season. The variety of holes was excellent. I will play this course again but do hope they can speed up the greens.
Legend trail golf course
forward tees a little confusing with sometimes teal with sandstone or cooper with sandstone.
Greens ran true but with the different tiers they were at times difficult v
Greens and fairways were in excellent shape. One par four was being worked on so they turned it into a challenging par three with a sucker pin. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. A pleasant experience for us.
Top course for cost and condition of course
Great course - My friend and myself played this course on the way to Mesquite and we both loved it. The back nine had great views and all the fairways and greens was in top shape. Will play again in the future whenever in area...
Beautiful course. Go Play!
I don't know what some of the recent posts are talking about regarding the shape of the course. I read these reviews last night and was a little worried about what I would find this morning. However, there was no need to worry. The course looked and played great! After five or six holes I mentioned the poor reviews to my playing partner and asked his opinion of the course quality. He too thought the reviews stating the course was in poor condition were way off base. Sure things weren't absolutely perfect, but we commented multiple times throughout the round about how good the course looked and played. The weather was perfect as well. A great experience overall.
This course needs better maintainence. Greens were not in good shape, tees were terrrible and the fairways needed much attention.
Clubhouse was absolutely beautiful. Too bad they didn't pay that much attention to the course. Beautiful surroundings and landscape but very disappointed in upkeep of course.
Fooled me twice
Very friendly staff, nice practice facilities, course needs some major work. I play in St. George quite often and I decided to give this course another chance. I was sorely disappointed with the course. Fairways were spotty, greens had bare spots, sand was washed out...I was quite embarrassed that I had invited a friend who had never played there before. The back nine is the only redeeming quality for the course with its picturesque vistas and a couple of fun holes. I would not recommend and I will not be back. Sand Hollow, Sunbrook, heck, even the city courses are in better shape and will have my money for now. Fooled me twice, shame on me...thanks, Golfnow, for not making me pay full price!
Great course with a Great Staff and New Ownership.
We played yesterday afternoon, 4/19. We were greeted by a cheery staff who brought us a cart, and the people in the pro shop were friendly and helpful. The course is looking great after all the recent course maintenance. With an ownership change and the cooler than average spring, the little touches have really helped. Being a 1000 feet higher than St George, the course is usually 5-7 degrees cooler, which is great when the temps go up in southern Utah. The back nine runs along the rim of Snow Canyon giving you some spectacular views and requires creative shot making. A greater reward for shot placement and accuracy for the back side and length on the front side which offers some great vistas of Southern Utah. You can see why this area was used for several Westerns in the past. Fun afternoon and the pace moved along letting us play in under 3 1/2 hours. They have one of the best food services in Utah, so go inside for a little food and refreshment after your round.
The back nine alone was worth the (Golf Now) green fees.
My first experience on this course - and I plan to go back often. I played as a single and completed the round in 3.5 hours. Unfortunately the wind was blowing hard the whole day. Made things extra challenging and wind drift was a big factor. Front nine was well maintained and a fair test of golfing abilities. Back 9 was worth the price of admission alone. Several holes look into the Snow Canyon state park. A geogeous backdrop. A minor complaint is that I think the "no carts on the fairway" restrictions were overdone on a few holes. Overall rating is a 4.5 out of 5. Be sure to give this course a try -- and be sure to use the Golf Now discount.
Needs a good grounds keeper
New course needs a lot of work
T boxes have almost no level areas .tilted left or right or down hill.. NO ball washers
Fairways cut to correct length but grass was in poor shape needs fertilizer.
Bunkers need a better quality sand
Over all there is no pizzazz to the course no features
other then the beautiful club house.
