Well manicured
The course, its fairways and rough, is in beautiful shape. The tee boxes are becoming dried out. The greens have great grass but are bumpy on some holes.
Great shape for early spring
Course was in great shape considering it's the first week of April. Some greens were a little bumpy but a few more weeks of warmer weather will help the grass grow better. Battle Ground is an intriguing layout, tree-lined fairways, undulating greens, and many large bunkers. A very underrated golf course that should be on every golfers "must play" list.
A well kept secret for the area.....
Battle Ground has always been vastly underrated for the west central Indiana area. Nicely conditioned, and nice layout. Probably not as pristine as it was since the owner donated it to the city, but still nice.
Nice Round
Course was in fantastic shape. No weeds or crabgrass. Fairways were in remarkable shape and the greens were perfect, receptive but fast and putted very true.
nice relaxing day
was impressed with everything about the course, everything is right in front of you , lets you play with some room to miss, but still challlenging, . was fun to play and will be back often
Beautiful course played fast
Enjoyed a good value on a very nice course that is a diamond in the rough. Greens were in very good shape but cut a bit long and played slower than I am used to.
Tees and fairways in great shape. As you see from the date played, this was a Saturday, yet we got around in 3 1/2 hours with no waiting or being pushed.
Pro shop staff were friendly and helpful. There is a snack bar, but not much more. No drink cart or halfway house.
Only disappointment was the bunkers. There were plenty, and although it looked like they had tried to maintain them, the several times I was in them they were hard and bounce of club caused club to glance off sand and catch ball thin sending across green.
Besides that, a great course and fantastic experience. Worth the trip for a day to remember.
Outstanding Management
Great course to play. Very well maintained.
Good Golf Course
Played as a twosome. Was never pushed or did not push the people in front of us. Weather was a little warm. No drinking water on the course that we could find. Had our own water. Enjoyed the course. In great condition. Cart was a little dirty when we got in but we cleaned it out the best we could.
Annual Golf Outing
The Local Lions Club held its annual golf outing at this course on June 18, 2016 and I received several comments from several players about how great the staff was. I would like to personally thank both Heath and David for providing the Lions Club with friendly, knowledgeable and great service. The people are the reason we will be back again next year.
Kudos to general manager Shane Weist for putting together a friendly and helpful staff.

Battle ground
Didnt have to wait to start. Everything was great
Go to Course in Lafayette Area under 45$
very well taken care of for the price.
Great day
Played at 1:00 on a Saturday afternoon. Booked through golf now. Good course, friendly staff, excellent experience. Would definitely play there again.
Good Course
Good course. Not too challenging for more advanced players. Open but enough areas to challenge the intermediate players.
This course is a 5 star course
The course was in pristine condition like always. My favorite course in north west indiana
Fun course
The staff was very friendly. Bob the ranger was extremely polite and helpful. The course was well maintained and in a beautiful setting.
Good time at Battle Ground
Course was great! Booking tee time through Golf Now APP was a BIG PROBLEM
This course was fun to play
A buddy of mine and I played this course yesterday. We were surprised nothing was cancelled due to rain. We made it almost through the back 9 when it started downpouring. To our surprise we were never asked to come back in and waited out the rain. The course was very wet from this point on. It started to downpour again a few holes past the last rain. My buddy and I said let's have some fun and we played during the downpour...We actually ended up hitting some of the best balls all day. I was glad the course allowed to continue playing as it made it a little bit more enjoyable when we just sucked up the rain and drove on. We found a great Father's Day deal on GolfNow and ended up only paying $8 per person before taxes & fees.
Impressed
The area receieved a bunch of rain the day and night before. We were amazed to find out that our tee time was not cancelled and even more impressed that the course was as dry as it was. There did seem to be something wrong with the pin placements as I just could not seem to get near them on approach...that might not be a course problem though!!!
Good course, but over priced
Battle Ground is a good course that I play multiple times per summer due to proximity. Course is in good shape, but it is priced too high. They used to be affiliated w/ Coyote Crissing, but no longer are. They still fancy themselves on the Coyote level based on pricing. It is a $25 course during the week & $30 course on the weekends. We play there only when we find a discount. Played there yesterday for $15/guy.
