The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks
About
The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is touted as the best mountain golf course in Colorado and even one of the best courses in the country. Towering forests of pine and aspen frame the rolling fairways and manicured greens on this scenic layout. The crystal clear creeks and trout-filled lakes are a striking contrast to the lush green of the course and the snow-capped peaks in the distance. The golf course is known for more than its scenery though, its challenging design is a test for all skill levels. The steep-faced bunkers have deeply furrowed edges, which can be tricky but they also serve to contain tee shots that might have an increased carry because of the course's dramatic elevations. There are also water hazards to contend with on several holes.

Terrible shape
I have played this course many times in the past ten years - it has always benn in excellent shape and an excellent golf course - it has really gone to to the dogs no maintenance and no upkeep- shame it was a great course - won’t be back unless it changes
Slow Play bad conditions
5 hours for a round of golf is unacceptable
No ranger at all on the back 9
Waited every hole.
Course in poor condirion.
Greens are terrible.
Lunch service super slow too .although the waitress did warn us that it would be over 30 minutes to get a sandwich
Food just ok. Had the brussel sprout tacos
Good idea but needs a little more creativity
Disappointed to say the least
I had been waiting for years to play this course and was very disappointed. Maybe the worst practice facility that I have ever seen and the course was not in good condition at all. Maybe a bad winter and spring!!
I probably won't be back to this course.
Poor Conditions
We have a group that comes up to play in the mountains for a few days. The Raven was a favorite two years ago. This year, it was in terrible condition. Greens, Fairways, Bunkers, Tee Boxes were all inconsistent. Something is wrong with how things are being managed. We were there on a Thursday and there was no maintenance person to be found. They say they are working on the irrigation, but we saw nobody. At the very least, they should have warned us about the conditions before we went out on the course. By the way, we played other courses and the conditions were all good to great.
Great layout
Conditions were good considering it is a high country course. Grass on greens was thin and with the inderlations the putting was challenging.
Be aware that use of driving range is free unless you are using a “hot deal” tee time in which event they charge $10.
I guess they didn’t have much snow this year but course not in good shape
Better than Expected Due to Several One Star Reviews
Beautiful mountains all around. Course in better condition than expected allowing for late opening due to severe winter and sever Spring and Early Summer drought conditions. Greens are puttable and in good condition with the exception of number 15 which is in the process of being resodded. Staff from cart boy to head professional friendly and helpful, working very hard to assure an enjoyable golf experience for their golfing patrons. The course is not easy but not to difficult as to discourage the average golfer. Give it a try and have a satisfying experience.
Don’t waste your money
This course is in horrible condition.. I understand that the weather has been dry But it should be noted that the
Maintenance people have dug up several fairways and low wet areas were numerous and not marked as ground under repair
The Greens were a 2 at best out of 10 and bare Tee boxes .. Not Worth 50 dollars let alone 169. Peak season. PRICEBUT NOT
a PEAK COURSE in its present condition.
Wait til next year
Played Raven for the 4th summer in a row, and this year was by far the worst of the bunch. Greens were very thin and painted dirt in many places. Fairways were a mix of too dry, ok and overwatered so lies were inconsistent.
This is a great layout, but not even worth $50 in its current conditions.
Rocky Mountain High Golf
Outstanding scenery surrounds the course. The first impression by the outside service assistants was excellent. The young lads were polite and helpful. The pro shop personnel were professional in demeanour. The layout, with the exception of hole #11, is very good, appealing to the eye, and easy to align shots. This is the first course we have played in Summit County that had a reasonable pace of play; Unlike the others we have played, we did not spend a great of time waiting, maintaining our normal pace of play. The course did show the impacts of the winter, some of the fairways and greens had not yet returned to summer conditions. We secured special pricing off the internet.
ROUGH Condition
I’ll start by saying the layout and the views at this course are incredible. However, the condition of the course was extremely rough. The greens were in absolute terrible shape, and there were probably at least 6 that we’re almost unplayable. A few of the greens still had 3-4 holes in them from previous hole locations in them. Overall beautiful views but the golf quality is just not there. I’d recommend saving the money and playing somewhere else. It’s sad though because with good conditions it would be awesome.
Dissapointed with this 2nd round here in 3 weeks
This was the second time ive played here in 3 weeks and whilst the layout is incredible the course condition and staff were pretty average this time around. We tee'd off in the afternoon and did not get a golf cart till 4 minutes before tee off time yet their was a group in front of us with 3 carts. The staff seemed to be over it and wanted to go home after what was perhaps a busy weekend for them. Somehow, the greens were in worse condition than 3 weeks before. They seemed to be trappled to death and a two putt was virtually impossible - perhaps the holes were not cut fresh for numerous days? Lastly, the bunkers are still in poor condition with tons of stones through them - a definite club killer.
I still like this course though, the views are incredible and escaping a 90degree day in denver is worth the drive. Im just not so sure i will be back.
Early season
Greens not totally filled in yet. Course needs a little time to fill in. Still great course, played many times
Early season conditions
The course is still in early season condition but this is a incredible layout! Its a tough mountain course so you have to adjust your scoring expectations accordingly! However its hard to get mad when the views on every hole are sure to make you smile.
Amazing course
Enjoyed every hole. This course keeps you on your toes! Staff was very accommodating and helpful
Great October mountain golf
Enjoyed a great round of golf at the Raven! Course was in great shape. Greens... where fast!!! We were warned and they lived up to it. The views were spectacular! Would highly recommend playing the Raven!
LOVE this course!
This is one of the most beautiful and fun mountain courses you'll play. I rated it excellent for the value because I played it with an iDeal Golfer deal. The regular price in season is pretty high, and I probably would never pay that much, but for how awesome this course is, any of the deals they have under $80 are well worth it.
Enjoyed the course
Was able to get a last minute Hot Deal which made this course a great value. Overall a fun track in good condition with great views of the surrounding mountains. Water comes into play on a couple holes and there are some elevation changes around the track. Numerous bunkers dot the course. One negative were the extremely fast greens. Otherwise, would definitely play again .
