The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is touted as the best mountain golf course in Colorado and even one of the best courses in the country. Towering forests of pine and aspen frame the rolling fairways and manicured greens on this scenic layout. The crystal clear creeks and trout-filled lakes are a striking contrast to the lush green of the course and the snow-capped peaks in the distance. The golf course is known for more than its scenery though, its challenging design is a test for all skill levels. The steep-faced bunkers have deeply furrowed edges, which can be tricky but they also serve to contain tee shots that might have an increased carry because of the course's dramatic elevations. There are also water hazards to contend with on several holes.

Challenging but slow

Round started out fine. Nice layout and great value with hot deal. Caught up to a group of 5 by hole 6.

5 guys and 1 cart!! They were sharing 2 sets of clubs and 3 of them were hanging on the back of the 1 cart. I called it in and to Raven’s credit, they moved on it and required these idiots to rent 2 more carts. They wouldn’t let us play through so we went around them on 11. Unfortunately holes 12-13 were under repair so we played 15 holes in 4.75 hours.

Raven-how can these guys get on the course??

One of my favorite course

Great course with awesome views and a fun layout! A couple of holes overlook the entire fairway, which makes for a memorable round. Well-maintained, challenging but fair, highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for a great place to play.

Tee boxes were in poor condition. Fairways had a lot of patches of dirt for a mountain course.

Great views, poor condition

The course had tremendous contours and great views but fairways and cart paths need a lot of repairs and TLC.

Awesome Mountain Course

Fairways and greens in great shape for the most part. There are a couple of holes that had some landslide damage but otherwise the fairways are in great shape. The greens are all in great shape.

Potential

The courses itself is cool. Great views and decent layout. Conditions are tough and pace of play tends to be slow. The bunkers have great sand but fairways are spotty and sometimes you are hitting off dirt.

Definitely a bit overpriced relative to the other quality courses in the area which are much better maintained.

Nice Course - Not worth price of admission

The course was very nice but at a price of over $200 per person was more that the experience received...we had a course employee waiting for us at every tee box to ask us to speed up to the group in front of us. We finished in 4.5 hours which is normal for a course as difficult as Raven. It made our experience very unenjoyable and stressful. We were hurrying on every hole. We are unlikely to return.

Twilight booking time

We booked a 4:50 Tee Time, the course did not tell you that you wouldn’t have the chance to play the whole course until you were checking in. It’s rated for 4hrs30min of play but requires carts back in at 8:20. Unfortunate given the price to play.

Friendliest staff ever

The staff at Raven were the friendliest and most helpful of any course we have played. The GPS on the cart didn’t work and one of the Par 4s (hole 13?) was in pretty bad shape - but enjoyed our time here.

Not worth the $$!!

Just played here on a golf vacation in Colorado. This course is a an absolute dog track, greens are extremely inconsistent, fairways are a mess, we played preferred lies playing for money because it was so bad. They charged us $229, my home municipal course for $35 is in better. Do not play here!! It could be a great track but they are probably a couple years away from being even remotely worthy for paying green fee price. I repeat “do not play here”.

Disappointed

I love playing Colorado mountain courses. This is the first course I've played that I was really disappointed in the course conditions. Dried out everywhere. Poor manicured greens, fluffy and slow. The course has potential other than needing a road map on the back nine to figure out where the next hole was. The tee boxes were dried out and grass was sparse on some. I don't plan on playing that course again at the price for a long time. Tried it, didn't like it. I'll stick to pole creek.
