The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks

About
The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is touted as the best mountain golf course in Colorado and even one of the best courses in the country. Towering forests of pine and aspen frame the rolling fairways and manicured greens on this scenic layout. The crystal clear creeks and trout-filled lakes are a striking contrast to the lush green of the course and the snow-capped peaks in the distance. The golf course is known for more than its scenery though, its challenging design is a test for all skill levels. The steep-faced bunkers have deeply furrowed edges, which can be tricky but they also serve to contain tee shots that might have an increased carry because of the course's dramatic elevations. There are also water hazards to contend with on several holes.

Great course
The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. Course was beautiful and quite challenging. We would play again
Not worth the $$!!
Just played here on a golf vacation in Colorado. This course is a an absolute dog track, greens are extremely inconsistent, fairways are a mess, we played preferred lies playing for money because it was so bad. They charged us $229, my home municipal course for $35 is in better. Do not play here!! It could be a great track but they are probably a couple years away from being even remotely worthy for paying green fee price. I repeat “do not play here”.
Disappointed
I love playing Colorado mountain courses. This is the first course I've played that I was really disappointed in the course conditions. Dried out everywhere. Poor manicured greens, fluffy and slow. The course has potential other than needing a road map on the back nine to figure out where the next hole was. The tee boxes were dried out and grass was sparse on some. I don't plan on playing that course again at the price for a long time. Tried it, didn't like it. I'll stick to pole creek.
Picturesque mountain course
Picturesque course up & down hilly terrain. Was not busy when I played (afternoon). Course was generally in very good condition except for soggy patches in some fairways. Very challenging to play the first time.
Needs water
3rd time playing this course. Love the layout and design of course. Greens were good but rest of course desperately needed water. Lots of dead areas in fairways and rough, even around the greens. They charge a premium price for this course, so expectations are high. Breck and Keystone are much better choices for your money. Do not pay full price here. You will be disappointed.
Not worth the money
Beautiful setting…..however fairways resembled a goat track…dry, burnt then soggy wet areas in places. Greens were in reasonable shape but rest of course looks like it was left to nature to figure out. The worst part….paid $250 per person (non resident rate) worst value for my money on any course I have ever played.
Awesome course
First time I’ve played the Raven in 3 years and seventh tome overall. Was disappointed in course conditions in 21 and 22 but they were great yesterday for early season.
Challenging Course
The staff was very hospitable. The starter was very helpful. My wife and I both liked the front side best. There's a plethora of hiking up to tees and greens from your cart. Overall, we enjoyed our outing.
Poorly managed course
we were informed, upon arrival, that the greens had just been aerated & sanded but the rest of the course was in great shape. NOT TRUE.
There were several areas of small water & mud patches. The fairways had several areas which were dry with barely any grass.
The outside staff were cordial and the starter was EXCELLENT, (he was the only highlight of the course.
Great online presence, poor course play and appearance
The leaves were in full splendor at The Raven this weekend, which was the single best part of playing this course, the foliage. - truly stunning.
The conditions however were borderline disrepair. The back nine had tons of ground under repair, broken cart paths, and a pace that most snails could beat.
The staff was OK in terms of Starter and Cart Guys, but the check-in staff were downright rude and frankly nonexistent, we had to wait 10-minutes to find someone who could check us in!
For the price, we were disappointed in Pace, Condition, and Staff
The high-=season color was the only saving grace.
Glad we played, but don't believe there will be a return visit in our future.
Excruciatingly slow
The pace of play was ridiculously slow to the point where we didn’t even get all 18 in at one .4 groups were on one hole there was a wedding so amenities weren’t available, including no cart girl
Conditions not perfect
Loved this course last year. Several spots on course are under repair this year. Dead spots on greens and many wet fairway spots.
