The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks
About
The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is touted as the best mountain golf course in Colorado and even one of the best courses in the country. Towering forests of pine and aspen frame the rolling fairways and manicured greens on this scenic layout. The crystal clear creeks and trout-filled lakes are a striking contrast to the lush green of the course and the snow-capped peaks in the distance. The golf course is known for more than its scenery though, its challenging design is a test for all skill levels. The steep-faced bunkers have deeply furrowed edges, which can be tricky but they also serve to contain tee shots that might have an increased carry because of the course's dramatic elevations. There are also water hazards to contend with on several holes.

Tough, But Beautiful
There are a lot of ups and downs on this course - literally. One par 3 has a 20 - 30 yard elevation differential because of the height of the tee vs the green. (I parred it. 😁). I think there is one, maybe two, holes that are straight. The rest have one or two doglegs. It’s not an easy course, especially if you’ve never played it before. You have to know where to Hoyt the ball to stay out of trouble. But the views are incredible. Plan to take some pictures. The course was in excellent condition. Fairway entrance and exit points are clearly marked. Give it a try.
Raven
Excellent course, and great staff. The only knock is the eye popping 190 dollars for 18. Great course but not a 190 bucks great!
The Raven is Amazing
Any review that disparges the Raven at 3 Peaks is absolutely garbage! We've played most of the Top 100 in the USA- and my entire group simply cannot understand how the Raven isn't on that list! Spectacular views & a great layout- definitely worth every $ they charge for such an awesome experience! Absolutely insane that average courses near Denver are ranked higher than this beauty- already planning on visiting again in September with 12 other golf junkies from NC! VIVA THE RAVEN- *My only suggestion would be to swap the 9's- as we thought 8 & 9 would be way better as 17 & 18! * JP
Slow-Go
A beautiful track and amazing you views! Took advantage of a Hot Deal so came in at a decent value, however this was by far the longest round of golf I've ever played (6 hours!!!). Staff was friendly, but only informed us of the member/guest that had taken place prior to our tee time. There was another tournament scheduled to start in the late afternoon, and the Marshall tried hurrying people along. We were scolded and told to pick up the pace, but our foursome was waiting for 5-10+ minutes on every tee box and hitting into every green. This was our second round of our trip to Breck. If you're in the area I'd recommend Breckenridge Golf Club over Raven. You're not as high in elevation, but you still get some amazing views and the track is even more lush than Raven + $50 cheaper at regular rates.
Amazing!!
Great course, played it after the member guest and the greens were fast and firm. Will play again.
Gorgeous course but very slow pace of play
Course was in great shape with amazing elevated tee boxes and gorgeous views.
I think we saw several “5 somes” groups in front of us so pace of play was painfully slow in spots. If this was allowed by the course marshals then its not a surprise that rounds are 5 hours plus.
This course should should play in 4 hours max.
Incredible, will play again
Grew up on a very private and prestigious course in Southern California. After some time playing basic public courses around Boulder I felt the need for something more. Raven Golf Club in Silverthorne was just what I needed, and more. No matter how you play, it’s hard to have a bad day on this beautiful course. The views along with the layout were a great mix of challenge and wonder. The feeling playing this course was a mix of beauty, wonder, and excitement. I will definitely play again at Raven Golf Club and hope to bring some friends/family with me next time.
Not ready for prime time
For the price, the experience was below par. I realize this is a high altitude, short season course but the green fees are also high for a visiting guest. The course just does not seem well maintained. There are dandelions galore (an easy spray treatment fix) and cart path maintenance problems. The layout has a few tricked up holes on severe downslopes or sides slopes. Staff was very nice in pro shop and snack bar. Green fees just too high for what is available right now. Greens rolled great, but overall course maintenance needs to marry up with price of admission.
Nice course. Pro Staff unfriendly
Beautiful course despite the rain. Staters and servers almost make up for how rude and unfriendly the Pro Course Manager (Scott) was. Almost went out of his way to be unhelpful. Hoping it was just a bad day but enough to keep me away from the course in the future.
Happy Camper
This is one of my favorite courses. I live in Texas and when I come up to the Breckinridge area I put this course on the top of my list.
