The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks

About
The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is touted as the best mountain golf course in Colorado and even one of the best courses in the country. Towering forests of pine and aspen frame the rolling fairways and manicured greens on this scenic layout. The crystal clear creeks and trout-filled lakes are a striking contrast to the lush green of the course and the snow-capped peaks in the distance. The golf course is known for more than its scenery though, its challenging design is a test for all skill levels. The steep-faced bunkers have deeply furrowed edges, which can be tricky but they also serve to contain tee shots that might have an increased carry because of the course's dramatic elevations. There are also water hazards to contend with on several holes.

Stop reading the negative reviews. They’re outdated and wrong.
Is this course the most magically maintained course of all time? No. But is Arrowhead? Also no. It’s tough at this elevation to get everything right. You’re not going to be “wowed” with the amenities, or prestige condition of this course, but out of all the mountain/Colorado courses I’ve played, the views here are absolutely breathtaking. Got to peep the fall colors today, and the pace of play was incredible. No cart girls, so load up at the bar, but this course was fun to play, and absolutely amazing for the views. I was hesitant to play here for a long time, but thank god I finally disregarded the “Karen” reviews, my only regret is not playing here sooner. The people whining because this course isn’t TPC sawgrass, grow up. It’s a mountain course. But overall I thought the condition was totally fine. Don’t skip this, and go peep those leaves while you can.
Beautiful but hard course
The Raven in September is a beautiful place to play. The colors were changing so the scenery was spectacular. We had deer join us on a tee box.
The course is quite steep in places and some very challenging holes, especially on the back 9.
so so
cold in the pro shop. un friendly.Course need updated. neglected.
Overpriced
For the price, this is not a course worth playing. Local members of the course are extremely rude, cut holes in front of us to back us up even more than we already were. Our round was a 5:15 minute round. Some holes had several groups on them at the same time. The staff seemed to be mostly disinterested in providing service to our group, even though we are all decent players.
Nice Course, But Hard
This is one of the more difficult courses I have played in recent memory. Lots of trees, tall grass, and sand. Many of the Par 4s are long and uphill. Course was in real good condition this time, but sometimes is in bad shape early in the season.
Better second day
Pace of play much.better than yesterday.
Fun day
Great track, wait till the bunkers are done
Loved the course and the layout despite the 5 hour round. Full price for having all the bunkers under construction was disappointing. Staff was very very nice, but no beverage cart " because the driver wrecked the cart"?
The Raven is improving
A bit pricey for the conditions. Pace of play was fast.
Oops
Not a good experience. Pace of play very slow. We left after 15 holes (5hr 15min) course is in fair condition for cost.
Rude staff
One of our foursome offered some negative feedback about the condition of the back nine to a bag attendant after being asked about the course. Rather than simply acknowledge the feedback or ask for more information, he went from explaining (the back nine is under repair) to disputing (tough to grow grass at 8k feet) to rudeness (it's a nice track if you stay in bounds), He was so proud of his behavior he repeated his rude comment to one of his co-workers within earshot of me. Will never go back.
Nice course, a bit over priced
Loved the layout, great course. Construction in the numbers was not a big factor.
Great Views and Very Nice Course
The course was in excellent condition, except for the fairway bunker rebuild project. All fairway bunkers were ground under., but this didn't really distract from a very nice round of golf. The course has plenty of challenges with significant elevation changes
The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Greens are challenging with lots of slope and some slope front to back, making it difficult to hold some greens
Great day of golf
Got behind
Fun course. Mountain summer equals rain at 3, had to punt last 5 holes. Pace was 20 minutes behind due to slow 4 some 2 holes ahead. On way in hole 18 fully open, nobody on it but stacked up behind.
