Call scaring much better totally different. Very nice.
Very, very nice condition they doing so much work now much much better very good
Maintenance
Nice course, decent fairways, helpful staff.
Only ask is that the tee box needs to be mowed. Makes it difficult to set the tee with so much grass.
Pleasantly Surprised
The course is in fantastic shape. A far cry then its dog track years a few years ago. New management has definitely improved the place and out group had a great time. There is still some room for improvement on some of the greens, but the fairways and tee boxed were in great shape. Pace of play was a bit slow as they are pretty much sending groups back to back but we ended our round in less than 4.5 hours. Im definitely coming back this year!
Nothing was changed but price.
It’s public golf course. It’s been going up the cost of playing golf after pandemic. Nothing was changed so tremendously. Public golf course means everyone can play no worry about costing. However the course was so many slow players with no manners. Well, they’ve been working on maintaining and innovating for course improvement. Nothing was so good maintaining. It’s still very slow and no average speed on every single hole.
I don’t want to go again. Even though I booked by Teeoff much less money than they were charged. It’s not worth to play this course.
Tee-d Off, and not in a good way!
Pace of play too slow and that is now happening more regularly and no push from rangers. Couple of greens were in bad shape. Some of the tee boxes also in poor condition.
Bunkers looked like they took they had been shelled by the USS Nimitz.
To cap it all off, no 17th hole due to maintenance and only $5 taken off for this unannounced news. The re-View is Clear, steer clear of Clearview until management focuses on improving their handicap.
An oasis in the shadow of the Throgs Neck Bridge
I enjoyed playing yesterday. The 10th hole was closed for renovation making for a very long walk from the 9th hole to the 11th tee. I checked in on Golf Now, received a confirmation, but the starter did not accept it, forcing me to waste time by checking in anyway.
A Value Course
Not fancy but for under $50 I’d say it’s worth it. They are clearly working on improving the conditions and that takes time. Some holes are in good shape. Others need more work. It’s a pretty true par 70 unlike some courses with several par 4s under 375. I liked it.
Picturesque Well-Maintained Oasis
I enjoyed playing here because it provides a challenge that does not overwhelm me with difficulty. The Ranger informed us that a group had cut in at the turn. Instead of informing us, he should have ejected them. Instead the back nine took ten minutes longer and the young perpetuators looked like they urinated around on the green at the 14tb hole.
