Clearview Park Golf Course

One of the course rangers named Joy is a very horrible middle aged woman who harasses teenagers. She is unfair, horrible, irrational, and unprofessional. My friend and I who are 18 and 16 respectively were kicked off the course by this woman on hole 15. For no reason she assumed we teed off at noon when we had teed off at 4:30. She proceeded to prevent us from teeing off and forced us to play holes 17 and 18 WHILE TRAILING US and to get off the course. While we were on hole 18 she drove back to the pro shop and watched us from the window to make sure we finished. Despite being able to check the system for proof of our integrity she continued to insist that we had teed off at noon and were taking advantage of the course. She is a total nut job. Refuses to listen to reason and continues to lie. By far the most unprofessional distasteful treatment I have ever received on a golf course. This is not how you treat paying customers, let alone children.

Booked a last minute Hot Deal when it looked like the forecast was improving. Clearview Park is a pretty quick ride from my home in Astoria.

Showed up early and the starter got me off about 30 min before my scheduled tee time. Was able to play through a few larger groups and keep up a good pace on the front 9, but things slowed down considerably on the back. Rangers should be a little more proactive about moving slow foursomes along.

Course was in OK condition. Tee boxes were not in good shape. Greens were ok. Course is straightforward, not a ton of doglegs or hazards to deal with. Good for beginners and average handicappers, not much of a challenge for low handicappers. Not totally worth it at full price, but for the Hot Deal, I got my money's worth.

It has been a few years sin I had played this course. Unfortunately it did not seem they had done much work in keeping the course in very good shape. Cartpaths were partially gone leave holster rough sure to rise on, airway were uneven with multiple patches of grass vs true fairways. The greens had many unfixed divots leaving them also patchy in places. In general it needs a lot of work

This is one of the worst places I’ve played. The conditions of the course are horrible. The fairways and greens are disgusting. The people who work there are rude. Save your money and play somewhere else. Never coming back to this place. It’s a hot mess there.

We like the course, but we lost so many balls because the grass in rough was so high you could not find them. The course is narrow, so if you don't have a straight ball off the tee you will be looking a long time for it.

They never let you know the price for a senior golfer or give you difference after you pay full price on line

Early morning tee time and round took over five hours. There were balls flying from other fairways into ours on many holes. Very few people shouting fore. The golf carts are in terrible condition. The course is in decent condition. The restaurant food is good and the bartender was very good.

The fairways are overrun with weeds, and the greens are in extremely poor condition. It is disappointing that this establishment does not take better care of its course. Considering the price, which is high for a 2-star rated course, it is quite disheartening to witness such poor course management. Despite playing well, the state of the course detracted from the overall experience. Save your money!
