Clearview Park Golf Course

This course really has gone to crap and is not at all worth playing anymore. It really is too bad because the course is otherwise picturesque and fun to play.

I don't really understand why the conditions are so bad given the cost to play here. It is by far the worst condition of any of the NYC public courses and one of the most expensive to play, which is honestly unacceptable.

New ownership is needed here to save this golf course.

Fairways torn up all over and staff was very unfriendly

I have lived in New York city a long time and usually can sniff out a con when I see one. This place is an absolute disgrace. From having to pay for parking in a crappy dirty lot to having to share a cart with a stranger with both parties having paid separately. I'm not even going to mention the course which is like an unmowed field that was trampled after a concert. Tee boxes were mud pits. Greens look like they has monkey pox. I paid for 18. Played 9 ams left I'm disgust. Don't go here.

The golf course is in the worst condition with no maintenance at all. I lost a lot of balls that fell on the Fairway because they didn't mow the grass.

I like the layout of the course but the grounds are horrible the grass is unkept and the fairway looks like the rough and the rough is almost impossible to find the ball its so thick!! Not worth the money at all we will not be playing this course again until they tidy up the grounds.

This course was in such bad condition you couldn't even tell the fairways from the rough. The course was so dry and the grass was so unkept that it was as if you were hitting off of rocks. This is just the review of the course conditions.. Don't even get me started about the staff

The staff was BEYOND rude at every single corner of the day.

I would NOT recommend this course to anyone.

recently aerated. what is suppose to be fairways need work. most greens need some work. pace of play for a Saturday was good...3hrs 40minutes.

I have seen pretty bad courses but this is the worst. They are charging premium price for not even a golf course. There are no fairways in most of the holes and have mostly wild grasses and dug up holes by animals. This is a pure negligence by the club owner. I wish I could give 0 stars.

The course is in awful condition. Fairways are non existant. Hit 2 balls in the fairway, dead center, couldn’t find them at all. Tall grass everywhere. Some tee boxes are just dust/dirt piles. Leaves everywhere. Save your money, play elsewhere. The staff is great though.

Flat out one of the worst courses I’ve played on. The course condition was terrible. The fairways were filled with weeds and bare dirt patches. The roughs seemed as if they hadn’t been cut in weeks. I normally never leave reviews, but this course was not worth my money.

The course was in terrible shape. Crab grass everywhere - no fareways. The tee boxes are dry dirt and dust - need a hammer to place your tee. The golf course was not playable - the worst ever. When I told the staff how bad was the course, they answered - no rain! What? What year is this - 1922? Do I look like Bobby Jones? This course is relying on the rain for watering the grass and on the Canadian geese for fertilizing! All Queens public courses are totally left without any maintenance since Giulianny fixed them more than 20 years ago. Terrible conditions. Disgrace. Men and Women spend $80 to play unplayable city courses. Mr Mayor, stop spending crazy money on stupid things and help New yorkers!

I know they recently aerated the greens, but some of the greens, tee boxes and fairways are in very poor shape right now. As bad as they were at the height of the pandemic. Eg the left half of #2 fairway was completely unmown and overgrown, #4 tee box is all weeds, etc. Some holes are fine, so maybe they’re just short-handed? I won’t play here again this year.

Worse experience ever. The course was unpleasant to play dealing with the overgrown crab grass. No drinking water on the course available or cart person. Parking fee is nominal but why? What is this fee covering? Can’t believe this course went downhill in two years. Disappointing.
