Clearview Park Golf Course

Wouldn’t play there again for free it’s June and the conditions were below average at best I can imagine what it’s gonna look like in a month

This course continues to go downhill year after year. I don’t think they understand the concept of course maintenance. Tee boxes are horrendous, fairways are miserable and are longer than normal course roughs, Green’s are so patchy, grass length again is more than what a normal fairway should be. Buy a mower and water some parts! Will NEVER play here again, no matter how cheap or how many tee times available.

Clearview is on its way back !! The fairways and tee boxes are in the best shape they’ve been in 5+ years!

This course is not yet worth $78 on the weekend, but if they continue with their revival, it will be soon. The greens roll true, but are still a little fuzzy / slow . If they improved the speeds of their greens it’d be a great value in nyc. As it stands today, the best value for this course is weekday and twilight golf when you’re looking to work on your tee / approach / short game, and are OK with having to be very aggressive on the putting greens.

They may want to actually maintain the course a little. No excuses. Greens are in the worse shape in 30 years. Fairways are not much better

Clearview is looking great this year in 2021. I played last year where the course was in bad shape but the team has cleaned it up and I had a very enjoyable round today on Memorial Day 2021. Well done Clearview team!

This course has been abandoned by the NYC Parks Department.

No restaurant or snack stand

Pond in front of the first tee has the stench of a garbage dump - A health hazard to the employees and the players.

No portable toilets anywhere on the course

No drinking water

No ball washers

It’s clear that the NYC administration has any interest in golf.

This might be the worst course in New York.

First..... fairway is terrible

Second.....green is terrible

Third.......tee box is terrible

Overall.... i strongly do not play at clear view golf course.......

I don’t know why I even bothered. I played this course 3-4 years ago and it only got worse. I figured maybe things got figured out, dead wrong. Conditions got worse and the pace is still as awful as it was 4 years ago. You are seriously better off not playing than giving this course a shot.

First time playing here today - nice course - greens are a little rough. Would play there again.

I have played this course many times over several years and it’s been a steady decline. Pace of play is horrendous, five hour plus rounds are the norm here.

No ranger to regulate the pace of play. If you call the pro shop regarding this matter your call will be ignored. Unkempt greens are terrible. They’re full of pot marks, due to ball marks and divots not being repaired. By comparison to other courses, Clearview

is still charging some of the most expensive rates around for such meager playing conditions.

I play here when all other courses are booked, and a Hotdeal on GolfNow is available, but even with a Hotdeal it’s really not worth the money.

It was my first time playing in this course and being a beginner I found the course , yes..wide forgiving with nice flat woodland fairways, tricky greens at a rate of $59. I reserved online and we started teeing off once we got in.The pace of play was fine for me as a beginner but my seasoned co players said we had quite of a waiting time on some holes.
