Lakeview Golf Resort - Lakeview Course

It wasn't the best I've played. I was hoping for something great since I drove two hours. The pace of play was excellent. I only had a few people in front of me, and they let me play through. I didn't get held up until then for the last four holes. The fairways were in rough shape! 50/50 mix between grass and weeds. The greens were bumpy and super slow. This could be a great course if the fairways and greens were in better shape. I have played better courses for significantly cheaper. Save your money and play somewhere else.

I’ve been playing this course for a few years due to its location. Its condition has improved greatly. The greens and tee boxes are in great shape. I would say the only it needs is more sand in the bunkers. I like the new red tee boxes and some holes. It gives senior ladies a great start.

They punched the greens 3 weeks prior to this round and the greens were still horrible. They need to take some time and energy to clean them up. The holes from the aeration caused every putt to do whatever it wanted. Not a true roll on the entire course which makes for a super frustrating round. I will be playing elsewhere

I play this course often and it's great to see the work going on to improve it. Bunkers are being dug out and re-sanded, greens are a little bumpy but much greener than before, fairways are improving as well. Layout is challenging with hills and some narrow fairways but the back nine opens up. Fun course, excited to see continued improvement.

Beautiful location along the River, plenty of elevated tee boxes. Some tee and greens could use some work, but it is November so I fully understand. For only visiting for a couple days, it was a great getaway for the cost.

I have played old Lakeview many times, and have always been pleased with the course. This week, though the greens were in bad shape, the sand traps were full of mud and water and rocks, and I lost many balls under leaves in the fairway. My partner, and I were very disappointed in the conditions and hope that the new owners will address their problems with the golf course.

They are bringing it back to first class level.

Are used to play this course all the time, but they have changed for the worst. In my opinion I used to be in mint condition, and I would honestly say it has a by far lay out better than any course in Morgantown, but when it comes to the groundskeeping of the course it has slipped away without a doubt, I only play this course now and then just because of the challenge but they still need massive updates on bunkers fairways and a lot of the greens

I played here in the early 2000’s it was a beautiful course. That is No longer the case. Dead spots everywhere. Complete lack of course maintenance. Sand traps are a disgrace. They even were closing the snack shop at the turn at 1 pm on a Saturday because they ran out of food. When we checked in I used the restroom the garbage was overflowing and the same empty water bottle was visible in the van 4 hrs later. They have ruined a once beautiful facility by just refusing to care. I read reviews I didn’t want to believe. And they always ask what they can do to improve. Well water the course. Remove some dead or misplaced trees. Seed the tee boxes take the sand and start caring about the facility and customers.

It just needs some loving. It’s a nice track but it is not being taken care of

Good value. The rough and greens are in bad shape. Probably tough to maintain with so many trees.
