Lakeview Golf Resort - Lakeview Course

Good value. The rough and greens are in bad shape. Probably tough to maintain with so many trees.

Overall, I was impressed with this course. I don't have any significant complaints and I walked away having had a lot of fun. I like to read reviews -especially when it is not a nearby course (this wasn't near to me -I was travelling). Some reviews were of people complaining about some brown spots/dead grass areas on the green. I did notice that on some of the greens. However, that didn't bother me at all. The brown spots were typically far from the hole and didn't matter so much. To me it was like part of the challenge (like having to putt/chip over a little bit of rough). So I didn't see that as a big deal. It looked as if they were working to fix those spots. I didn't think the spots took much away from the nice look of the course. Perhaps a bit more water hazards (I know I should be careful what I wish for) would be nice. There were lots of sand traps, which I liked. But not too many to make it too difficult or too annoying. The layout was great. Nice variety and well designed. Great scenery. The golf carts had touch screens and a GPS to give distance to the green. The carts also had small coolers attached. The people that worked there all seemed nice. I would like to play here again and would certainly recommend it.

The greens are in poor condition and players don’t fix ball marks.

Divots is fairway’s are not fixed or replaced.

Little or no sand in traps.

View of the lake on 4 holes at the most.

Restrooms at main building are in shambles. No soap to wash hands and no paper towels.

No practice range, only putting green.

Even with GolfNow discount it’s not worth the money.

It’s an absolute travesty what a dump this place has turned into. Course, facilities, everything, is an absolute dump. Trash grass (In places), dirt bunkers, paths you need an off road vehicle for… it’s bad. The only saving grace is the presence of a few courteous staff members. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

This course and mountainview used to be nice, but the owners simply must not care anymore. Lakeview used to be one of the nicest courses in the state but now it’s average and over priced. Greens are baked out and dead on most holes, fairways aren’t cut well, and the tee boxes are dirt. Go play mountaineer or paradise if you’re in town. They’re cheaper and in better shape

Lakeview was overall in decent shape. 15 out of 18 greens were in good condition, which is significantly better than its sister coarse Mountainview. Fairways were in good shape and they dragged the bunkers which was nice to see. I played on a Saturday so the pace of play was very slow (5.5 hours) but the staff was friendly and the starter even cleaned our clubs while we were on the 18th green. Overall, I would say Lakeview is still slightly over priced for the coarse conditions compared to other courses in the region, but I was satisfied with my experience.

Similar to Mountainview but busier, so slower but we still played in about 4 hours. Great value.

Great track, greens and fairways were in great condition. Nobody out there so we played in less than 4 hours....a real value at $27 golf now hot deal. I played lakeview alone the same afternoon

This place is going downhill fast. There is a lot of clover in the fairways the greens look like someone poured bleach or acid on them. The halfway house is about ready to halfway fall down. Not like it used to be according to my friends.

This is a sad example of a “Golf Resort”. When I think of a “Golf Resort” I think of a plush well manicured golf course with an inviting clubhouse/hotel with a personable staff. This course was anything but that. With a clubhouse and course that looks like it hasn’t been updated or tended to since the mid 70s. It’s very clear they are still stuck in that time. With a price tag of $70 for a round of golf at this course I would of rather thrown the money in the lake that oh by the way you can only see it on hole if you walk 20 yards behind the green. Overgrown, rugged cart paths and bunkers with more weeds than Snoop Dogs house. I wouldn’t recommend this “Golf Resort” to my least favorite LIV golfer. Stay away. Terrible vibes.

The course was fine, dry because of lack of rain this spring. But the cart paths!! Yikes, what cart paths?

It would have been and most of the time was better to drive on the grass than use the cart paths. They need to be reworked almost everywhere on the course.

Too bad that's my main memory. Because the golfing was a challenge but that's ok. It shouldn't be a challenge to drive from hole to hole.!

I had always heard this is one of the nicer courses in the area, and the prices reflected that. While the area and clubhouse is nice, the course is in shambles. Giant patches of dirt on greens, bunkers are almost unplayable, some tee boxes are mostly dirt. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! There are many more courses that are better in the area (especially considering the cost).

Was a great place to play. Sandtraps need some work. There wasn't much sand in them.. I personally wouldn't hit out of the bunkers
