Over Priced Garbage!
I had always heard this is one of the nicer courses in the area, and the prices reflected that. While the area and clubhouse is nice, the course is in shambles. Giant patches of dirt on greens, bunkers are almost unplayable, some tee boxes are mostly dirt. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! There are many more courses that are better in the area (especially considering the cost).

Great place
Was a great place to play. Sandtraps need some work. There wasn't much sand in them.. I personally wouldn't hit out of the bunkers

Great round on a Thursday
I live in the area and finally had the chance to play Lakeview. The course layout was nice. No signage to direct you to the next tee box, but all of the golf carts had electronics to help navigate. The fairways were well kept, the rough was deep and challenging as it should be. The views of the lake were nice as well.
Cons: Cart path very rough, sand traps were hard and the sand had very little give, greens looked beautiful but played slow,

Improving
This course has improved compared to previous years. Looks like they are attempting to make the bunkers actually have sand soon. Greens are decently fast but not much hold. Hoping it continues to improve.

590 yards from the golds?
The 18th hole had the tees set at 590 for gold, 600+ for white. Par 5. How many public golfers are going to go 600 in 5 shots? Seems riduculous.

Working on it
It has been several years since I have played here but I got a deal on golf now and said what the heck. I had heard the course was in bad shape but went for it anyway. There were a lot of people working on the course, that was a good sign. The fairways were in pretty good shape and the greens were for the most part. If they keep working on it the way they were I think they will bring it back.

The course is improving, some rain to get the grass growing should help. Big improvements over last year

Rough course
The course conditions were below average. I know it’s early in the season still but some simple water on the course would’ve help out ALOT. We drove over an hour to play and it definitely wasn’t worth it. I will maybe try again later in the season.

Pace of play great. Greens/ tees not so much.
Pace of play was great. The greens where still very sandy and the boxes need some love. Would of changed mind with the greens if I would of known.

Pretty awful
I used to be a member here a decade ago and it’s depressing to see how awful this course has gotten. It’s early in the season but this winter was very mild and courses in this area are in great shape… except here. I play a lot of golf and would recommend the pines, preston county, uniontown cc or even mountaineer before I would recommend this place.

Muddy day in WV
A lot of plugged balls as was suspected for march after a rain storm.
Protection of the courses future play ability is apparent.

Pretty decent
I hope the new owners continue to fix the course up, some of the greens, Karen, horrible condition, but that happens after a crappy fish winter but the fairways are coming along nice. It is cartpath only I’m not sure when that will end, but it’s definitely helping the fairways.
