A lot to like about this course. great place to play for average golfer. you won’t lose balls!!!
The course lay out is Good but.
The only thing they need to invest in are new Golf carts cause every cart you drive ,feels like it's about to break down.
Best Affordable Course in the City
It’s been a few years since I moved out of NYC and it still remains as the best option in the city (excluding Ferry Point). Greens have always been fast, undulating and well maintained but noticed improvements across the tee boxes, fairways and bunkers. Great layout with some nice views of Manhattan in the background. Pace of play was slow (as always with city courses.) Although it’s quite far, you can make a great day out of it by taking the ferry from wall street to rockaway and taking a 10-15 minute Uber from the ferry terminal to the course.
Great Turnaround
Haven't played in years but they really cleaned this place up. Greens are fast and difficult fairways are pretty clear, rolling hills and bunkers make it feel like a european links course. Golf carts and paths were pretty beat up but I wish there were half stars for a 4.5. Very impressed with the improvements
perfect weather
I arrived late and was allowed to catch up with the threesome, before the next fours tee off. The course was in good shape, having just hosted several tournaments and pace was good for a four to five hr course. The layout brings players back to the clubhouse after nine and fourteen, great for twilighters.
Tee time
So I had a tee time at 2:10 with this site and The starter sent out threesomes but wouldn't send me out because I booked this site I believe. He made wait over an hour. I made the best of it . they have a nice pitching area with A sand trap
3hr nine holes
Carts had bald tires. No parking brakes front felt it was coming off and no ranger too many people almost 3hrs. Front 9 never again
Stay away!
Course is in decent shape. Greens always seem to be taken care of and run at about a 9-10. The problem however are the BUGS!!!! Literally thousands of mosquitoes will attack you on nearly every hole. We used a whole can of deet spray and it brought out more of them! I wouldn’t come here until the cold weather hits. One guy in our group quit after 12.
Mosquitoes galore
I really like Marine Park, unfortunately, today's round was disappointing.
We could not finish 5 holes because of rain and the mosquitoes were very bad.
