Great round. Challenging from the tips

Marine Park may just be the best muni course in NYC. Course is in great shape. The length and wind provide an adequate challenge throughout despite an otherwise open and forgiving layout. The back tees were playing 50% longer on average than when I last played here in June, which makes the holes playing into the wind even more dicey. Also shoutout to the cart girl who seemed to always be around when we needed her.

We were able to go out right on time. Course lay out was wide open . The greens are challenging but fair. The bugs weren’t that bad but make sure you bring bug spray. Overall a fun round of golf .

Course has been shaping up all through the summer and the landscaping changes to pathways, mounds and rough are nearing completion. Greens are rolling true, patrons could do more to eliminate divots and tend to bunkers. Rangers should be employed to keep players in position. Addition of cart lady and barbecue service adds to the experience. Course should be top flight by early September. Favorite and I believe best public course in Metro area. Certainly best links style lsyout!
