Great time
Having played all local courses in the boroughs this is by far the best one at the moment. Great value. Fairways and bunkers are B+ (reminder this is a public course lol). Greens and pin locations are challenging and keep you on your toes the entire time. The course is in solid shape. Nice areas to warm up. Carts can be a bit slow. Bring bug spray and enjoy!!
Playing around
The weather was perfect, my buddy and I were joined by 2 great guys. The pace of play was perfect, tee boxes were very good, greens were a little beat up, I wish people would do fix there divots! But the best of all was the cart girl! ( GORGEOUS) . We bought beers and candy bars we didn’t need or want! Great time!
Great city course
Long with undulating greens. Lots of wind and renovated with links style moguls. My favorite in NYC
Best in the Area
Marine Park is in the best shape of any of the other courses in the 5 boroughs. Management continues to improve the layout. Playing this course is money well spent.
Great muni
Excellent layout that now is well maintained and continues to improve. Best short game practice area and putting green in NYC, a good range to warm up on and a fun seaside links-y layout. I always have a great time playing here, although the rounds can be slow (4.5-5.5 hours at peak times on busy days). I try not to finish around sunset on calm days because the mosquitoes can be brutal from holes 14-18 at sunset but that’s what you get by the coast. All in all a terrific course and a great value.
Customer Services needs some work
When I arrived I stopped into the snack bar to get some water to take on the course. The person waiting on me was having a conversation with another staff member. She barely looked at me she basically served me while talking to this person the who time - I asked her several questions but she never heard me. Then I went out to the Starter to get my cart - I used a Tee Off Hot Deal when I purchased my round and it included a cart with two people. The Starter would not give me a cart unless I paid again for it - even though I had already paid with this deal on Tee off - he was completely unreasonable and argumentative telling me i had to contact Tee off or Golf now to get my money back. He was rude and insensitive and I don't believe he has the right temperament to be in this position.
