About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 2020.
Situated along the shores of Canandaigua Lake, Bristol Harbor is in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine country. Robert Trent Jones designed the golf course in 1972. The layout practically offers two courses with a front nine that showcases lakefront views and a back nine that plays through the forest. The front nine is also composed of links-style holes as opposed to the tighter holes on the back nine. The golf course plays longer than the 6,662 yards indicated on the scorecard thanks to a variety of different challenges. There are plenty of bunkers strategically placed along the greens and be prepared for some tricky uphill shots. The signature hole is the par-4 14th. This scenic hole is set in a deep gorge within the Bristol Hills, creating a dramatic drop in elevation from the fairway to the green.

Great Course, Great Views, and Fast play.
The only thing that would have been better was if people had done a better job repairing their ball marks.
Terrific round
Challenging, fun course. Greens were very challenging. Pace of play was excellent and the course was in excellent shape. Need to go back for another crack at 14. Hit my second shot into the woods. Highly recommend this lovely course.
Loved The Course
Course was in great shape. Many interesting and picturesque holes. Greens, fairways, tee boxes, and bunkers were all perfect. Play it anytime you get a chance.
Great Golf Great Staff Great Value
Teriffic course and a great value. Play the right tees for you or it could be a long day...enjoy!
Great place
Beautiful course, friendly pro and staff. Greens need some work. Golfnow was perfect. Great value.
Very Nice Outing
I've played several courses through out the US and Canada. (Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach, Robert Trent Jones Trail, Lake of Isles in Connecticut, etc.) This course ranks with the best of them and at a much more reasonable price for seniors. Played mid am on Wednesday and the weather was spectacular. We try and play this course 2-3 times per year. The fall trip is always inspiring.
Great Track
Not real long, but challenging and interesting. Great views. Greens roll well. Extremely good conditions! The front is open and a bit longer - the back is through the woods and a bit shorter.
Worth the trip
The staff was very welcoming and easy going. The course is beautiful and in excellent condition, especially i for being so early in the season. I shot a 41 on a challenging back 9 so it was worth the trip!!! Had a great time.
BH Play
Great conditions and layout. Several difficult holes, but most are manageable. Front is more open, but longer. Back is more tree lined, shorter and more shape shots required. Great value on golf now, but not worth the full fare.
Excellent conditions
Quick play and incredibly well kept. Beautiful course. Plan to play again!
Stunning
The beauty of the Finger Lakes is captured in this plush well maintained tour.
Modern GPS carts aid your play and help make club decisions easier.
It was a bit moist when I was there, so flag hunting was in season. But when they dry they are fast and a different approach is needed.
The greens rolled very true, with only a few misreads or surprises.
Retail prices make this an elite course, but thanks to their Golf Now participation it is reasonable for more players to appreciate this gem.
