Pine Ridge Golf Club
About
Pine Ridge Golf Club was carved from pine forests in central Long Island. Located in Coram, the course's player-friendly layout is a popular choice for all skill levels. The narrow, tree-lined fairways demand accuracy and the greens are fast and can be hard to read but it's not an overly punishing golf course for high handicappers. The risk-reward opportunities will test your course management and strategic thinking skills. If played smartly, you could find yourself with a birdie, particularly on the two driveable par 4s on the front nine. Several bunkers lurk throughout and water comes into play occasionally as well. You'll also face several sharp doglegs, both left and right. In addition to the golf course, Pine Ridge also offers a practice facility that includes a driving range, putting green, and a large grass teeing area.

Do not waste your time and money
This was by far the worst course I have ever played. We left after 11 holes because the course and the pace of play was absolutely dreadful. The tee boxes were atrocious and the greens were rock hard, as if they have not been watered in days . I will never waste my time and money at this course ever again.
Terrible shape
The course is in terrible shape. Fairways are in bad shape, the rough is dried out dirt in most areas and the greens are bumpy and they have so many ball marks. Tee boxes are also in bad shape. For the cost there are many other courses I’d rather play that are in better shape.
Could be so much better
Tough course that could be so much better with a few modifications and some TLC. Tight lines with trees everywhere. If you spray the ball off the tee, you're gonna have a long day. Layout is actually pretty cool and makes you hit every club in the bag. But the rough is a mess and because of all the tree cover, there's a lot of bare spots and dirt shots. Bunkers and tee boxes need work too. And parts of the course look like they've never been tended to. From the tips, this could be a serious challenge with 2 par 4's at over 475 yards. And a few cool par 3's. But for the money, it should be in better shape.
Usually Better
Play here 3 or 4 times a season, and yesterday was the worst conditions ever. Many tee boxes without any turf, every green very beat up. Fairways were in good shape and best feature
Had fun staff was ok
Place was a good time. The gentleman who greeted us and set us up was very nice. Greens were “difficult” which was nice. Overall course was in good shape. The person checking us in before we played wasnt the greatest. Maybe he had an off day. There was one last guy who took out carts when we were done. He was great. I would play again.
Rip-off rates
I would play this course for $30. Absolutely not worth the $50 (+$15 for cart) per head. Wish we spent the extra $20 and went to a well-managed course. The greens and tee boxes were in poor shape. The cart paths are atrocious which resulted in huge puddles resultant from recent storms. I understand the weather causes issues we can’t control. But if you’re going to open in these conditions, the fair thing is to decrease the rates.
Good Course
Staff was friendly. Course was is good shape. Challenging course then expected. I would recommend anyone to give it a try.
Fun course
Haven’t played Pine Ridge all year. Finally got the chance after we got hit by a hurricane. Course was very clean From debris considering how many trees came down in the area. Staff was still blowing and cleaning areas. Course is tight. You must hit ur driver straight or keep it in the bag if u can’t hit straight. Enjoyed the round very much. Greens are some of the best public greens in the area for sure!
A very nice course..fun interesting layout
course conditions were very good...flat level tee boxes..nice green complexes and firm green fairways...a few brown patches on the fairways but no course is perfect in that regard The sand in the bunkers was good despite some stones which are easily removed
..It is a challenging layout from the blues with a nice mix of short and long par 4's and a great long par 5 (570 yards) with your second shot over a lake with a fountain. The par 3s are also unique with the last one a forced carry over water to a semi island green.
great roll on the greens despite alot of unfixed ball marks..
Anyone trashing this course with a negative review either doesn't know what good course conditions are or has unreasonable expectations ie. It is a daily fee public golf course not Augusta National CC
Good course for the $$
Greens could have been a little better kept but overall good coarse for the money
A lot of great holes but not in good condition
It was my first time there and I will say I liked a lot of the holes just the whole place was scorched. The fairways and greens had burn spots all over but I am going to tally that too covid and the odd times. The course isn’t very walking friendly though I would take a cart
Wow its awful
Course was an awful awful shape, tee boxes havent been maintened in 2020 maybe even since 2019. Fairways had dry spots everywhere, and also havent been maintained. Bunkers and around green looked looked as if the course has been closed for a few years. Green were rolling fast is only decent part. Staff was rude as well. This place will be closed soon. And the price is more expensive then bethpage black. Overall i wouldnt recommend this place to anyone even if it was free
Terrible condition. Total rip off
This course is in terrible condition. For almost $90 with cart literally any other course on Long Island is a better value. Every green had tons of ball marks, the bunkers looked like they hadn’t been raked or cared for all season, and the tee boxes were really beat up. Staff was rude to multiple members of my foursome. Never going back.
