Lake Isle Country Club
About
Located in the heart of Eastchester, Lake Isle Country Club is a facility that is owned by the town and offers a swimming complex with five pools and a tennis center with eight courts in addition to the 18-hole, championship golf course. Opened in 1926, the course is one of the oldest in the area and it is still a local favorite. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course may be on the shorter side but it still offers some challenging holes. The layout is mostly reachable par 4s as well as a few tricky par 3s and only an occasional par 5. The golf course has a classic design that is approachable enough for a range of skill levels to feel comfortable tackling the layout.

very nice golf course
nice fast pace of play and very nice staff great location
Great staff, comfortable play
Friendly, engaging staff. Long par threes and long grass were the main challenges. Otherwise the course was forgiving.
Great course to play.
Lake Isle is one of the best semi private courses in Westchester County. The course is challenging and makes you use every club in the bag. Also, there are some pretty long and tough par threes so you better bring your A game !!!!!
This course is good for players of all ability
Only complaint was carts are not equipped with GPS. Would also like to see better quality of sand in traps. I will definitely replay course in the future.
Formerly private
Interesting layout. Some holes close to parking lot were shortened to accommodate new facility when Town of Eastchester took over 25 or so years ago. Decently maintained. Greens roll well. Traps more dirt mix than sand. All in all, a good playing experience, well worth the money (2 @ $75).
always pleasant, needs better food facility
Golf course in good shape, not overcrowded, No waiting to tee off management very friendly and nice group of golfers
good course for beginners
Course is well kept and not too busy. We got around in 4.5 hours which is good for a course in New York.
Challenging greens but in great shape
Played this course for the first time and found it was pretty easy even from the longest tees. The greens were big and difficult to read. Fairways in good shape.
Golfnow deal is worth it
For only being open 1 week the course was in decent shape. There's lots of space to work with on this course. The greens have zero break in them. It's a nice place to have a stress free round. I'd definitely go back with a golfnow rate.
short course greens good
The staff was okay, could be friendlier. The greens were very good for this time of year. Played just under 4 hours. Course is worth the golfnow price.
Great condition for early spring
Afew par threes are on the long side. Little to no sand in bunkers played 18 in less than 31/2 hours
no sand in traps,
nice course, cond are getting better, will not become a memb. again, they treat outsiders better then members, cheaper to use golf now, cart is included, members pay $20 to ride $7.00 to walk plus mem. fees.
Great views
Great Course would definitely recommend. Have played the course a couple of times and will be back.
Course is hard as a rock.
Staff seems to think they are running a high end golf course and made comments about booking the "Golf Now Rate" insinuating their discontent with allowing "non-members" the chance to play.
Wait for a deal or else
Semi private course that you better wait for a golfnow deal or else suffer the expensive price for an average course. The course is hit or miss on pace of play and 15 or so of the holes lack thought and creativity. Greens are slow with no undulation. Beware, much better course nearby. Try Sterling Farms in CT.
Great Course well maintained good challenge.
I love this course and i try to play this course every chance i get.
Great Bang for Buck
Lake Isle is a town course that is primarily played by residents. They have under gone a facilities management change. They are doing a great job . The course is in fabulous shape and the greens run out nicely.
Great Golfnow.com deal
This is a semi-private course, so the course conditions are usually great. The pace is very good, too. The golfnow.com deal is a tremdous value, since it's about 40% off the regular cost of 18 holes and a cart. From the whites, the course is not long at all, but is challenging with all the doglegs and blind shots. The par 3's are pretty long, however. Most holes are open, so you can hit driver without any fear. My only criticism is that the range is way too close to holes #1 and #10, so you can potentially lose your ball in a sea of range balls if you hit a wayward tee shot. Other than that, this course is a great value for the money and very enjoyable.
