Lake Isle Country Club
About
Located in the heart of Eastchester, Lake Isle Country Club is a facility that is owned by the town and offers a swimming complex with five pools and a tennis center with eight courts in addition to the 18-hole, championship golf course. Opened in 1926, the course is one of the oldest in the area and it is still a local favorite. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course may be on the shorter side but it still offers some challenging holes. The layout is mostly reachable par 4s as well as a few tricky par 3s and only an occasional par 5. The golf course has a classic design that is approachable enough for a range of skill levels to feel comfortable tackling the layout.

short course greens good
The staff was okay, could be friendlier. The greens were very good for this time of year. Played just under 4 hours. Course is worth the golfnow price.
Great condition for early spring
Afew par threes are on the long side. Little to no sand in bunkers played 18 in less than 31/2 hours
no sand in traps,
nice course, cond are getting better, will not become a memb. again, they treat outsiders better then members, cheaper to use golf now, cart is included, members pay $20 to ride $7.00 to walk plus mem. fees.
Great views
Great Course would definitely recommend. Have played the course a couple of times and will be back.
Course is hard as a rock.
Staff seems to think they are running a high end golf course and made comments about booking the "Golf Now Rate" insinuating their discontent with allowing "non-members" the chance to play.
Wait for a deal or else
Semi private course that you better wait for a golfnow deal or else suffer the expensive price for an average course. The course is hit or miss on pace of play and 15 or so of the holes lack thought and creativity. Greens are slow with no undulation. Beware, much better course nearby. Try Sterling Farms in CT.
Great Course well maintained good challenge.
I love this course and i try to play this course every chance i get.
Great Bang for Buck
Lake Isle is a town course that is primarily played by residents. They have under gone a facilities management change. They are doing a great job . The course is in fabulous shape and the greens run out nicely.
Great Golfnow.com deal
This is a semi-private course, so the course conditions are usually great. The pace is very good, too. The golfnow.com deal is a tremdous value, since it's about 40% off the regular cost of 18 holes and a cart. From the whites, the course is not long at all, but is challenging with all the doglegs and blind shots. The par 3's are pretty long, however. Most holes are open, so you can hit driver without any fear. My only criticism is that the range is way too close to holes #1 and #10, so you can potentially lose your ball in a sea of range balls if you hit a wayward tee shot. Other than that, this course is a great value for the money and very enjoyable.
lake isle is in great shape
Love playing at Lake Isle, course is in great shape and pace of play is usually good. Although some par fours are short the long par threes are real tough.
Slow twosome
The problem was with the twosome we were paired with...it took them almost 5 hours on their own...no one in front of us. We should have finished more than an hour earlier. Brutal.
Nice short course
A very enjoyable short course that I hope to play again
Best Public course for the price right now
I frequent the public county courses in Westchester and this seems to be the newest added to the mix of public courses. Although not a county course, this is the best in terms of maintenance and the course is very relaxing to play. Well worth the money
