Kissena Park Golf Course

I have not played here since 10 years ago. I do not recall most of the holes but hole 17 was a putters nightmare if you may call it that. The pin position Sat 07.23.22 was very difficult.

Overall the course was fair , a bit challenging for high handicappers. A few sprinklers in a few fairways but understandably the temp that day was 95 deg

Green were a bit slow, a lot of ball marks not repaired by other golfers.

Tee off area in some hole need better maintenance since some areas were "bald"

Tee box worn. The fairways are sloped to the side, ball rolls off the fairway.

could not use driver as pace was slow

I understand the grounds crew has a job to do, but it’s unacceptable to have a guy hosing down the green when you’re teeing off, approaching, and putting on it. Again, someone with a giant hose spraying the green while you’re putting. Multiple times in a round. If they had the crew working off hours that’s one thing, but we’re talking a Friday during prime time.

Terrible resource management. Terrible golf experience if it happens when you’re playing.

Go to Douglaston instead.

Every hole had someone working on the green or fairway or tee box. Very noisy with no courtesy to the players. Had a guy watering the grreen with a big blue hose. Refused to move as we were pitching up. Had to wait till he was done. Very unprofessional and no respect for the golfers. Another hole a guy ising a blower on the tee box amd refused to turn it off as we hit. Manager didnt seem to care either after we explained our round was dissapointing. Be aware of an early tee time. We played on a fri monring at 7

You should know how to use your woods and hybrids with narrow fairways, besides that it’s a great course to play .
