Solid Public Course
Nothing too challenging and nothing fancy. Fairly easy course and always a good time. Carts are in good shape. No par-5's on this course.
Sometimes local kids will run across the fairway on their way to smoke weed in the woods, nothing you can really do about that.
Pace of play is about as good as you an expect from a crowded public course. Worse on weekends, you'll need to be patient on some of the par-3's especially. Generally, the people behind you are aware it's not your fault.
Solid staff that cares about keeping a good pace of play. I wish they had any type of hot food in the clubhouse, even if it's just hot dogs. Tiny bags of chips and granola bars aren't the best options when you've been on the course for hours.
Great prices as always, will be back many times.
Very slow
I like to play Kissena it’s usually a quick round. I think the course mgmt was a little overwhelmed it was the first nice day in weeks and everyone was out. Upon check in we were told there was a 30 minute delay
While the starter did an amazing job getting everyone out as quick as he could. It would have been nice if they had someone on the course moving people. There was a 2 group backup at every hole. The usual 4-4.5 hour round was just under 6 hours.
I just hope that it was the weather conditions and not the new normal.
Terrible pace
While convenient for Queens residents, the pace of play is horrendous. On 2 of 3 holes we were waiting up to 25 mins to play, they definitely overbooked and as a result the pace suffers drastically. Probably wont be going back, would rather play douglaston or clearview.
Overall great experience . I play this course a lot and it’s a great course. I rated off course amenities one star. Not because it’s not good but no service until the spring time. Normally they have breakfast and lunch. If you want to get in a quick round of golf and don’t want to spend 5-6 hours this I a great choice. I hope the review helps!
winter golf
The course was wide open due to the weather, freezing. I saw five people all round . winter golf

Slow play, fairways and greens in poor condition but happy to be playing in February. Only 4,500 yards from the black tees and no par fives.
