Kissena Park Golf Course

Overall it was good the downside is if you don't want people cutting the grass while playing go in the afternoon

The course was in very good condition, fairways and tee boxes were extremely well maintained. The trees and shrubbery around the course provide just the right amount of difficulty to the point where it’s the perfect mix of challenge, and satisfaction.

10 minutes waiting inbetween every hole.

i play a lot of the city courses - i probably wont go back to Kissena.

Course was in fine shape but 2 groups waiting to tee off inbetween every hole.

Also - if you like par 3s - you should play this course.

Not a par 5 in sight

Was first tee. Unfortunately staff failed to stick the pins up on a lot of holes forcing us to aim center green and not exactly sure with distance. Obviously not ready to start business. Otherwise conditions were pretty decent and we finished in 3-1/4 hrs walking.

I was shocked coming to this course, I did not know what to expect but the course conditions are very solid. Greens I think were just aerated but they were filling in nice and the course layout is fun. It really tests your game. I’m a 4 handicap and it was a fun little course. The pace of play was a little slow but not too bad we finished in a little under 4 hours. Didn’t shock me though because there are a lot of beginners coming to this course and they take a lot of shots and with all these short holes and par 3s you are waiting around alot. Overall really a solid course and will definitely be back.

I booked a hot deal with additional discount. It came to $96 for the foursome. Cheap. On the course I was told that I owe $15/person for golf carts. So with all the discounts (hot deal + 20% coupon) it came to $39 per person. Without these deals, the regular price is $44 + $15 for a cart = $59! This is a public golf course in a fair condition. This is not a nice course on Long Island. It is very expensive for what you get.

The morning starter was a cranky old dude who thought he was guarding the Queen. Because he couldn't count, we had to cancel our morning outing because of his delay our split twosome couldn''t join the two threesomes right behind us in line. Enough with the weak, mall security, Napolean dudes with clipboards , jacking up the mood of the game! I will pass on weekends here.

The greens were treated with sand that contained small pebbles. There is still old aeration plugs in front of the greens.
