Kissena Golf
Enjoyable course. Not overly long, but good for average golfers.
Greens are in dece Nt shape given the time of year. Pace of play was very good. Teed off earlier than our scheduled time. Finished in 3 1/2 hours. Worth your time. Staff is very friendly.
Decent Track
Greens were aerated which if fine, it happens but no one informing you until you reach the first green is not. Staff seemed indifferent but in the time of Covid probably on the side of caution. Bathrooms and carts clean. Carts looked brand new! As a first time player was easy to get lost on the course, especially on the back nine. 10th to 11th holes was weird and course could probably use some signage. Loved the elevation changes as need to be more precise than bomber. Will go again as wife liked it.
Nice place to play. Have to hit the ball to selective spots or you’re in for trouble. Rough putting surface due to maintenance.
Aerated greens
Greens were aerated. Course is in need of maintenance. Many broken branches and twigs all over the course and bare spots in the fairways.
Not Happy
I have played here several times, seems like it just gets worse and worse every time. You come here clearly because its a decent price for 18 and an opportunity to work on your game....thats it. Almost guaranteed to wait on every hole, the most UNORGANIZED and UNPROFFESIONAL staff and way of running things I have ever witnessed on a golf course or even setting for that matter as an avid golfer. Drive the extra 20 minutes to Long Island public courses, you wont regret it
Short and Slow
I’ve played here before, but, not for a few years. It’s mostly par 3’s and very short par 4’s. No par 5’s. The greens were being aerated, so, that didn’t contribute positively to the experience as we only found out upon arrival to the course. Lots of bare spots and crabgrass in the fairways and Tee Boxes. It’s an ok course if you want to practice your iron shots.
