Decent
Decent course, if recommend for a cheaper place to play.
Short but hilly course
Have played here for many years but not much over the last 4 or 5 . Usually have played around noon or a little later and finished inside 4 hrs , not today backed up on just about every hole . First realy good weather day for golf we all had the same idea !!!!!
short course, staffs are rude
a short course for local golfers, staffs are extremely rude. better spend little longer driving to play better course.
Executive length but not that easy.
Despite being a executive par 64, this course is tricky if you don't know it. Having short par 4's, most of the fairways are rather narrow so getting off the tee into the fairways is a must. Hole 9 and 12 are pretty difficult par 3's where most people make bit numbers. Arguably the hardest par 3's for a NYC muni course.
Conditions are well kept, especially for a NYC course. Being conveniently located, this course gets packed on weekends. Playing Kissena, do not underestimate it, mid to high handicappers are likely to struggle.
It is a beautiful course.
I booked my tee time at golfnow.com, and it was a good price. I enjoyed the course and I look forward to playing there again.
Short course, slow pace, not great but close to the city
Easy to get to, close to manhattan -- course conditions weren't ideal, lost a ball in some mud on the edge of a green, greens were very slow and not in great condition. PAce of play on a sunday morning was extremely slow. This is a short course (no par 5s) and it took my pair, 5 hours to play 18 with a cart. Nice to find a course so close to where I live in brooklyn (15 minutes on the BQE), but not worth the money.
Enjoyed
Had a very nice round. Course is short but very challenging. Many elevation changes especially on par 3s. Would recommend to everyone.ll
Quick 18
Great condition, Tees, Fairways and Greens. Rolling terrain, not an easy walk depending age. Staff was very friendly, and we played under 3 hours.
Kissena Golf Experience
Of all the golf courses in Queens and NYC....Kissena golf course is probably my favorite of them all. All 18 holes are nice...love the condition of the course and the atmosphere.
It is a good course to playy
I would Diff. go back and play that course again. The yardage of course was short but well worth Playing it.
nice challenge for the size of course
Would gave been great to have a discount for persons with military ID. "REMEMBER ALL GAVE SOME BUT SOME GAVE ALL."
cold golf
It was our first time out this year, but the weather was cold with 10 mph winds and gusts.the course was in great shape considering the winter we had.
Great shape
The course was in great shape after a terrible winter. The staff were very accommadating.

Price is right
$24 weekday twilight single walking - the price is right! Been coming here since 2010 and try to make it once a week. Convenient as I work nearby and can usually get a full 18 holes in 3 hours. Course is kept in good shape, I make it a point to fix fairway divots and repair at least a couple of ball marks on the greens during my round. Very friendly staff, lost my putter cover one time an notified them. It was found and returned to me the following day!
Short but sweet
I never considered playing here in the past due to the short yardage 4K something. But I was tired one day and was hoping to get a 9 in. Came across this and decided to give it a go.
There are a lot of difficult par 3s and decent length par 4s here. The course is pretty hilly and with the elevation its not as easy as one would expect. The grounds were in good shape for a city course.
The staff were really nice and helpful. The pace of play was great as we were the only group out at the time, lucky for us. But this is a city course so expect long waits as others have mentioned.
Magnificent Surprise
This was my first time to play at Kissena. The
location was very accessible. Course conditions superb. For my level of play it is
an exceptionally challenge but manageable.
It was a very fun, rewarding experience.
Great Day of Golf
Played on Sunday, its was great. Played with my son. The people at Kissena Golf Course are the best , love playing there, from the club house, starter to the concession stand. They are great. will keep going back.
Old time favorite.
This is the only course I played on for the first five years I played golf and I always come back every year to play it. The course was in the best condition I can remember. The course is short but all the bad lies caused by the hills makes for a fun time. I will come back every year if the course is always this good.
