Easy to get to, right off the Taconic. Decent putting green, but there were no holes in it to putt to. No driving range. No place to sit outdoors to have a drink or something to eat. A lot of the course was in decent shape, including the greens. But certain sections of the fairways and a few of the tee boxes were quite beaten up. The layout was interesting. A lot of nice holes. And some great views from the tops of the hills. Two of the par fives require an iron off the tee (unless you can hit it a mile). I do not like that layout for a par five.

Tough
This is a VERY tough course. If you’re a 20 handicapper, bring at least 6 balls. A dozen would be better. All sorts of trouble. But, play it a second time and you’ll start to figure things out. I shot 95 with 8 pars and 1 birdie. The rest were 7s 8s and 9s. The trouble there is quite troubling indeed. Worth the trip and the $$$.

Not quite worth the cost
As for the course itself, the pace was of play was okay but I think that was mainly to a group cancellation. Tee boxes and sand traps were in decent shape. Many divots in the greens so maintenance could be a lot better. The layout of the course itself was disappointing at the time but it was also my first time there so know what to expect If I ever go again. Won’t be rushing back. For roughly $90, this course is not worth that cost. Better bang for the buck at the other area public tracks.

Bring your A game, or don't even think about coming
This is an extremely challenging course, and aerial views don't begin to tell the story. There are significant elevation changes on many holes, and fairways are steeply pitched, leading to many sidehill or uphill lies, and worse, to blind shots. Forced carries are found on several holes, and the rough has been allowed to grow out - as if the course was being groomed for the US Open, which someone forgot to tell the greenskeeper, is actually down the road at Winged Foot. Someone also should tell golfers when they start the round - select a tee that's within your handicap, and pickup after your 7th shot. For a scratch player, this is a wonderful challenge. For a weekend player, it becomes a 5 hour round, and that's at least 30 minutes more than the fun factor allows.

Mostly Angled
Most of the course finds you playing shots with the ball above or below your feet. Perhaps a good course for better players where this isn’t an issue.

The course had many interesting holes that were challenging. There were many split fairways on many holes which were different.

One of my favorites!
Fantastic course layout and difficulty level for my game. Played yesterday and today around 10 am and both days it was a 5 hour round - so that’s disappointing. Earlier tee times definitely end in 4:15. There’s work going on the bunkers for some of the holes and the #8 tee box is a bit of a disaster right now. But I love playing here and it’s a great experience overall.

Hudson Hills - Wont Go Back
Wont go back. Course recently aerated so greens bumpy, Many tees without grass. Divots all over the fairway. And it took over five hours to play..
We had to wait on every shot. Management should space out the tee times more.
Only redeeming factor was that the people that worked there were extremely nice and the sandwiches were excellent

9/3 round
I booked this as a 4 pm twilight round with some buddies. We’ve played a bunch of municipal courses and know what to expect.- slow play, sometimes wet or subpar conditions. This place was way worse. The course was in trash shape— wet everywhere, construction in various spots, mucked up tee boxes, aerated greens, etc. it would’ve been reasonable for $30 but we paid $61 twilight rate. A bit more maintenance would help this course but even the layout sucks, particularly on the front 9. I won’t be playing here again.

The greens are poorly maitained
I enjoyed the round, but this time many of the greens are very poorly maintained, some of them bumpy.

Left after 16
4.5 hrs and course backed up on 17 tee! Aerated greens, some brutal tee boxes plus construction. Not worth it
