Nice views Photo submitted by u000007168515 on 04/18/2013
Good course, great staff but pace of play brutal
Great nine holes at the end of the day with my son. Greens were aerated so putts weren't rolling true but staff before the round let us know that and gave a discount on round because of it which was awesome. Biggest complaint, always with Hudson Hills, is pace of play. Very slow and no one from course out moving people along so huge drawback for us to play there more regularly.
Slow Pace
Great course, nice layout and the views spectacular. Unfortunately the pace is slow no Marshall in sight. Couple of players playing with one set of clubs, i know we all want to learn, but pace should be better.
Dont recommend. Layout, pace of play, amenities all horrible
As title says. Blind spots make it difficult to have an enjoyable round. Golf carts dont make decent suggestions, making first time playing very challenging. Worst of all, it is dangerous, we almost got hit by a tee shot that had a slight draw while standing on the green. Staff also not the most friendly (just the starter). Greens are bad. Uneven. Need repairs.
Mixed bag
I’ve played this course three times. Some holes are absolutely fun to play while others are frustratingly challenging. Blind shots, steep elevation changes,
thick rough and unsearchable border vegetation will have you hoping not to spray left or right. Several of the steepest and difficult holes are cart path only, so the fairways are pocketed with unfilled divot holes. Pace of play is an issue. Last round we left after 15 having reached 5 hours. We waited an average of ten minutes on each hole. On the trip back to clubhouse after we passed the second group in front of us the next three holes were wide open. Bad Ranger enforcement. For $80, you expect more.
Greens are a treat on every hole. Miss one and don’t expect an easy lie. Make one and plan on spending a few extra looks at multiple breaks.
The Country Club of Westchester Munis
Get ready for the hills, beautiful challenging course.
Well priced. Step above the others locally.
Back Again
Play here frequently and every time we play the risk-reward factor is important in our match. If your foursome is generally of close handicaps, this place is great for any match. A plus is the staff are really good people. Only down side is this is not the place for beginners. All in all, we highly recommend this course. Just remember….risk-reward on almost every hole!!
Not worth the price they charge to play
I’ve played this course several times and each time it seems like it gets worse. While the course condition was in decent shape, the tee boxes were completely chewed up, pace of play is ridiculously slow and no ranger in sight to keep slow players moving. The tee times are stacked less than 10 minutes apart (around 7 minute last I checked)so if it’s a full day, expect a round to last 5-6 hours. They have even charged me full price on a previous occasion where they aerated the greens to the point it’s completely full of sand and unplayable. No where near worth the $90 they charge to play here . Can’t see myself coming back here.
