About
The Fred Couples Signature course is the centerpiece of the Bridges at Preston Crossing. The golf course sprawls across rolling hills that most don't associate with north Texas. Mature trees dot the lush meadows, sliced with ribbons of tall native grasses. The parkland layout has a fair amount of challenges and it is especially tough on a windy day. There are subtle but tricky contours thanks to the undulating landscape and several strategically placed bunkers lurk throughout. Water is not too much of a threat on this golf course, except for the memorable finishing hole. This beastly par 5 lays measures 645 yards and wraps around a massive water hazard. The Bridges is a local favorite because not only is it a challenging round, it is also an affordable one.

Awesome course!
Pretty much a wide open course, but it’s not easy, when the wind blows. Greens were in good condition and the course was in good condition as well.

I really like the Bridges, but….
I teed off at 8am on a Tuesday - pace of play was super, played front 9 in 1.5 hours, until 14th hole, caught up to a 4some of retirees- this foursome was extremely slow, even walked to/from cart slow. We were a twosome. We waited 10+ mins on each shot for last 3 holes. Back 9 ended up taking 2.45 mins. I was taught you let twosomes play through if you are holding up speed. I just really hate slow play……

Fun Outing at The Bridges
Second time playing The Bridges. Really like the course layout. Greens were rolling true, and in good condition. Fairways are starting to show the affects of the 100 degree heat and no rain, but still in reasonably good shape considering. Recommend this track to anyone who hasn't play it yet. It's worth the drive.

Great course, maintained well
Played this course on a Friday morning. A lot of golfers out there and the pace was an 8/10. We got done before 11 30 am and started at 7 am. We stopped and got food on the turn as well and one of our guys lost a club. So we could have easily cut down 30 minutes.
The downsides are: no coolers in the carts and the cart girl (she was great) was late and we only saw her once. So by noon we were kind of dehydrated.
Course was maintained well and they watered it right before we started. Would play again!

Good course, good condition
Greens were good, though some of the tee boxes were very baked, hard and scruffy. Big fan in general of The Bridges, very much worth the drive

Leave it for the locals
The pace of play here is awful. The starter did a great job getting everyone out on time, but that is where the urgency ends. There is no marshal to keep things moving & someone in charge will let people tee off on the back 9 in the middle of your round to back things up even more. If you're traveling from Dallas, I would suggest playing else where. It will be an 8 hour commitment with the travel time. Leave this for locals who might be willing to put up with a 5 & 1/2 hour round of golf because it's better than a a 2 hour round trip to play a different course.
There are positives to the course:
Nice staff, updated club house, good food, interesting layout & mix of holes.
Great course off the beaten trail
Course was in excellent shape. Fairways were firm from the lack of rain so the balls was rolling out quite a bit. Greens were holding approach shots really nicely. Greens were rolling pretty fast so it made long putts a lot more manageable

Excellent Course - Highly Recommend
Excellent course, highly recommend. Course was in excellent condition! First rate staff, friendly and helpful. The grill serves great food.
The really fun part about this course is the layout. Front is Links and the back is target, something for everyone.

Great course, horrible pace of play
I’ll start by saying the course is in great shape and a great layout. Would have been a perfect round if pace of play was just average. Had a tee time for 9:20 and made the turn at 11:25. Saw the group ahead of us waiting with 2 other groups in front of them. Apparently they double booked tee times and had people teeing off on 10 to start their round. We didn’t finish the round until 2:55. Just over a 5 and a half hour round and would’ve been longer had the group ahead of us not left after hole 11. We spent a total of 25 minutes waiting to hit our tee shot on 12 even after the group in front of us left. I completely understand pace of play on a Saturday is going to be longer, but when you double book tee times on a Saturday and have people teeing off on 10, this makes the waiting game unbearable. I’ll still give them another shot, but if I play on a Saturday again, I’ll definitely be calling to make sure they aren’t double booked.

Hard to believe
With record heat, course was darn near perfect. Greens, bunkers, you name it. I hope they are planting trees so one day, someone playing will have a little shade.
