About
The Fred Couples Signature course is the centerpiece of the Bridges at Preston Crossing. The golf course sprawls across rolling hills that most don't associate with north Texas. Mature trees dot the lush meadows, sliced with ribbons of tall native grasses. The parkland layout has a fair amount of challenges and it is especially tough on a windy day. There are subtle but tricky contours thanks to the undulating landscape and several strategically placed bunkers lurk throughout. Water is not too much of a threat on this golf course, except for the memorable finishing hole. This beastly par 5 lays measures 645 yards and wraps around a massive water hazard. The Bridges is a local favorite because not only is it a challenging round, it is also an affordable one.

playing on July 4th
I knew to expect a slow round on July 4th, Front 9 went well, but at the turn we backed up to a 5-Some! who allows 5-Somes on one of busiest golf days of the year??? back 9 time was brutal

Long but good!
Long test from tips at 7698 and wind impacts some making it feel longer! Pretty generous fairways so swinging hard rarely gets you in trouble. Greens were rolling really well. Some patchy on fairways from winter but definitely recovering.

Fun, countryside course
Course was great! The staff was amazing. The conditions were mostly good: the green were a little slow but fair, the fairways a little long or being repaired.
Couldn’t beat the pace of play or atmosphere!

Hay day
Great course overall. Got dusted by the tractors mowing the fields on several occasions which was less than enjoyable. Guy with his kid in front of us were miserably slow. Staff was friendly and the food was pretty good.

Excellent conditions
Always windy on this course but it’s in really good condition. It’s playing too slow. Needs to be better marshaled.

Oh No..
Traveled from Lewisville to play and was excited for my 11am tee time. I’ve played here once before in the winter and was itching to come back once everything turned green. After my hour long drive I had about 30 mins before my tee time. The practice green was trash and covered in sand and pebbles. The range was hard pan dirt. No grass. Trying to shake off the bad vibes I went to the first tee about 5 mins before my tee time. I noticed there was no Marshall and 2 groups of foursomes “ hanging out” blasting music. The bad vibes continued. My 11 am tee time eventually turned into a 11:15 tee time. As a single, I joined up with a fellow who “ just started” the other 2 players didn’t show up ( smart move). We became stuck between the party groups in front of us and a foursome who eventually hit into us on hole 1 and 3.. after the third, I looked at the clock and it was 12:30.. I called the club house to complain and was told there is no Marshall and if I wanted to I could get a” rain check”.. I took the offer and drove home with guilt and frustration. I blew 2 hours of my day driving, wasted gas money, and I now have this rain check that I’m not sure I’ll ever use by the end of this year... DONT PLAY THIS COURSE. Way better options in the DFW area.
Great track
Very fun course, that always eats my lunch. Greens were in great shape. Rest of the course was decent, a little dried out in spots.

Solid Course
This is a very good course that is worth the drive up to Gunter. Greens were in good shape. Punches were still visible on many greens but they were very playable. Tee boxes were nice. Fairways were very nice as well. Lots of long grass lining the course so it’s a good challenge. Pace was slow but it was a late tee time and there was some families out there. It was my first time playing this course and several of the greens are approachable if you get an hold of it. Overall this course is really fun and I had a great time. Will definitely play out here again.

Too much for too little
I have been playing this course for at least four years if not more but the same issues keep coming back up. The staff is great and the course itself is great the problem is the constant problems with the driving range being closed. When you drive 20-40 miles to a course just to find out you cant warm up because the range is closed really sucks. You are paying $80 to play and the first three or four holes can be ruined because you are not warmed up and ready. It makes no sense. I am sorry to say this was probably my last time out there.
