About
The Fred Couples Signature course is the centerpiece of the Bridges at Preston Crossing. The golf course sprawls across rolling hills that most don't associate with north Texas. Mature trees dot the lush meadows, sliced with ribbons of tall native grasses. The parkland layout has a fair amount of challenges and it is especially tough on a windy day. There are subtle but tricky contours thanks to the undulating landscape and several strategically placed bunkers lurk throughout. Water is not too much of a threat on this golf course, except for the memorable finishing hole. This beastly par 5 lays measures 645 yards and wraps around a massive water hazard. The Bridges is a local favorite because not only is it a challenging round, it is also an affordable one.

Excellent course. Terribly rude course Marshall
The course has a really nice layout and can be fun for every level of golfer. Choosing the correct Tee Box is important. Greens were in good shape on a very nice December day. The course Marshall yelled at the group I ended up playing with. We started out as 4 singles who decided to play together by the 6th hole. There was a foursome in front of us that put us in a situation to group up. By the 7th hole the course Marshall was yelling at us for having our own carts. It was inappropriate and uncomfortable. Had we all just played as singles the course would have really been backed up. It was not how anyone wants to be treated on their first visit to any golf course. It turned my fun for the day.

Great course layout and shape
Was cold and windy but the course was in great condition. Greens were pure, nice tee boxes. Nothing bad to say about the course, can’t wait to play it in the summer. It had rained this morning and the night before and the course drained pretty well, especially where it counts.

12/26 The Bridges
60 degree day the day after Christmas-lots of people on the course. Usually play 18 in 2-1/2 hours. Only got 9 played in 2 hours.

North of Dallas
This golf course is about 40 miles north of downtown Dallas. It is a long drive for most people in the Dallas Metro area. However, this golf course is so nice that it worth the drive. It has a nice layout, well-maintained fairways and greens are in perfect conditions. I play twice a week and have played at many golf courses in the Dallas area. In my opinion, the Bridges in Gunter is one of the best.

Excellent Condition
Everything great, conditions excellent, great layout. We had great weather but beware if it is windy.

Great Value
This is one of the best courses available to the general public in the DFW metroplex area. Areas that could be improved are sand traps & uneven tee boxes but the course overall is in excellent condition. In summary, this course offers great value and an enjoyable golf experience.

Too many groups of 1 or 2 golfers. Need to pair those groups together. We allowed 3 groups of 1 and another 2some play through.

Great Value
Course is in GREAT condition for December. Greens are fast and smooth, fairways aren’t too hard or dry, sand wasn’t too wet and RAKED. Tee boxes not chewed up. Love it, just don’t go on a windy day!
Windswept in winter
Greens were perfect for winter. 20-30mph winds made it difficult to putt. Course overall in good condition. 2:15 front nine was odd for this course - usually play much faster. A few foursomes ahead of us really struggled. Still a very good course, but beware of winds in the winter.

Very Nice Layout
Had a nice afternoon at The Bridges. Fairways and greens and boxes were all good. If you happen to get a straight putt on one of the greens consider yourself lucky. Most all of the greens are undulating with a few that drop several feet. But that's part of the fun. Will definitely come back.

Very exciting course!
The layout of this course is wonderful. Very links-esque with rolling fairways and heavy exposure to wind if present. That being said they are still forgiving, many shots flirting with the edge of the fairway have opportunity to sweep to the middle on the roll. (Just a heads up, do not try to walk this course. Many holes have large green to tee distances.)
Every green has major undulation which makes pin placement and shot selection important. Speaking of, the greens were in great condition, rolled very true and fast. Only complaint is regarding other golfers, pick your feet up and fix your divots (had to fix 2-3 divots outside of mine on every green)!
For me this course is a lot of fun for any skill level. The white tee boxes are very forward, blue are perfect for a 10-20 handicap, golds are great for 5 down. Haven't played the tips though. Because of the layout you'll have a different experience every time you play.
