The Bridges Golf Club

About
The Fred Couples Signature course is the centerpiece of the Bridges at Preston Crossing. The golf course sprawls across rolling hills that most don't associate with north Texas. Mature trees dot the lush meadows, sliced with ribbons of tall native grasses. The parkland layout has a fair amount of challenges and it is especially tough on a windy day. There are subtle but tricky contours thanks to the undulating landscape and several strategically placed bunkers lurk throughout. Water is not too much of a threat on this golf course, except for the memorable finishing hole. This beastly par 5 lays measures 645 yards and wraps around a massive water hazard. The Bridges is a local favorite because not only is it a challenging round, it is also an affordable one.

Update
Fairways filling in nicely. Grass on tees and around greens doing well. Greens were a bit slow due to long-ish cut. A few muddy or aerated spots but not too bad. In good shape overall. Always a fun layout and Sunday was a gorgeous weather day. We were the 4th group out and took 4.5 hours due to one group playing the tips and hitting it 200 off the tee (why?!?!). No marshals or pace of play review. It was nice to get off the paths only 2 days after heavy rain. Always a good trip out to Gunter, hopefully able to grow some good rough or consistent fairway grass this summer.
Great condition
First time in nearly 10 years. Fits all levels of golfers.
Must Play Now
What a difference a year makes. Played this course last April and it was in terrible condition. Tee boxes this time were in great shape, fairways grown in nicely, and the greens rolled great! This is a tough course, even from the blues at 6500yards. The fescue will punish you if you’re slightly off target. Live the challenge!
Nice facility, good layout
Course was in good conditions. Clubhouse is nice and comfortable. Had a great time.
Decent course but needs to grow in more
For the time of the year it was pretty good. Many tee boxes and fairways need some work for sure. We enjoyed our first round for the most part. The only complaint I had was with the layout of hole 18. It is terrible. 2 forced layups on a closing par 5... I would maybe consider playing there again if conditions were better and the price was right. It is just way out there...
Twilight Round
I booked a 5:10 pm tee time now that day lights savings has returned and was able to complete my round in just about 2 hours and 30 minutes. There were only two groups ahead of me and we were able to play at a very nice pace. The greens rolled true and fast and there were plenty of challenging hole locations.
Fine golfing
Very nice course especially as spring is springing. Fairways filling out nicely with April arrives. Greens are very good rolling true.
Definitely a course to put on your list.
They need new ball washers on the course
This was my second visit to this course. The course is in great shape. We played after rain fall and thr course was wet and muddy. We need to clean our balls often but the ball waher either were empty or non functional.
Very Beautiful and challenging with large hazards and Great Fun
