The Bridges Golf Club

About
The Fred Couples Signature course is the centerpiece of the Bridges at Preston Crossing. The golf course sprawls across rolling hills that most don't associate with north Texas. Mature trees dot the lush meadows, sliced with ribbons of tall native grasses. The parkland layout has a fair amount of challenges and it is especially tough on a windy day. There are subtle but tricky contours thanks to the undulating landscape and several strategically placed bunkers lurk throughout. Water is not too much of a threat on this golf course, except for the memorable finishing hole. This beastly par 5 lays measures 645 yards and wraps around a massive water hazard. The Bridges is a local favorite because not only is it a challenging round, it is also an affordable one.

Wow. Course and staff are going straight down hill!
Wow played yesterday at 12:20pm for a whopping 100$. Walk into the pro shop, dude is just a tool in there and having the worse day and taking it out on customers. Charges 100$ to play at 1pm in the middle of the day, and doesn’t include range balls. Dude gave me about 15 range balls at most for 12$. It’s honestly sad the shape this course is going in. We had a 5 hour round and there wasn’t a Marshall in sight to speed the groups in front of us up. The cart girl was great, but other than that plenty of other courses in the area better bang for your buck. Especially the way the ginger was treating customers in the pro shop. Course shape is alright greens really firm and slow.
First and only time
5 hour round. The 95 year old marshal didn’t do a dang thing about the drunks in front. Never coming back
Nice layout but poor yardage marking
Played this course May 23rd and The Bridges is a pretty nice track, but would have been a much better experience with consistent yardage markers on holes. Or even a GPS in the cart, there's an idea! Some holes were very hard to judge distance with only the 150 yardage stick to guide us....it was rare to locate a separate marker in the fairway. It may seem small but this can be a big improvement in the golf experience!
Courses in really good condition looks like they just aerated that I play but it was almost recovered Good layout friendly staff
Terrible greens and pace of play
We played yesterday and the greens situation was terrible. None of the greens were consistent. The pace of play on the front was great, we came in right at two hours. After hole 11 were were waiting 30 minutes to play a hole. The Marshall was out in the cart on the first tee but he was not managing pace of play throughout the course.
Will not be coming back, there is no reason to pay $90 to play this course.
Mothers Day Play
Played behind a young couple with 2 toddlers and an infant. When she hit, he held the baby and vice versa. Meanwhile the two toddlers (both under 5) were wacking balls around the fairways and greens. When they drove down the fairways (2 carts) the toddlers hung off the back. Neither the husband or the wife were good golfers. Hacks.
Meanwhile there was plenty of room ahead of them.
No rangers.
Great place
Great value for the money
Got me out earlier than my toe time
Grass range is excellent
Good course away from DFW
Gunter is a bit far out of the DFW metroplex but if you're near the McKinney area take the leisurely north drive to Gunter to play the course. Wide fairways, large greens but still tricky to play.
Condition of course is improving
All the rain has really helped fairways, greens etc. greening up nicely now.
Always enjoy playing this course
Great course, it was still cart path only as of 5/7/25. Driving range was closed but everything should open up soon with the sun and slight wind. Greens are rolling great, tall fescue very punishing if you stray away from the fairways.
