Fairways were in nice shape. Greens were terrible for the cost of the round.
Another day at the Bay
The greens have improved over the last two months. Since we are in a rain drought, the fairwsys ciuld yse mire watering.
Better than expected
First time playing the course and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very helpful and informative helping a first timer with layout and amenities. No real driving range (100 yards). For a par 60 course the layout was plenty challenging with variety. Would definitely play it again.
Always a good time
Barefoot Bay is one of our favorite places. Staff is super friendly. An older crowd and pace of play can be slow. Executive style course with mix of par 3 and 4s. Lots of water and has adequate challenge. Course in pretty good condition.
Course has some severe consequences
For an executive course it had some severe penalties for an unknowledgable patron. Mostly on the back 9, starting with 10 I landed on the green the ball fell off the right side went down the hill and into the lake. Trying to fish the ball out the bank was so steep that my club also rolled down the hill and into the water. We had the same a little later on a different hole. The fairways had a lot of weeds and the greens were hairy and slow
Impressed!
The star ratings really don’t matter much here. The course, the players, and everyone else involved including the 19th-hole-only patrons all have a great Florida vibe! The conditions were better than most. The greens were in great shape. I’ll definitely be back!
WARNING DO NOT OLAY TUESDAYS. ONLY NINE HOLES.
I booked expecting 18 holes. Drove an hour to discover only nine hole play. Course would not honor 18 holes. Guess i don’t return here again. Too bad because course was in great shape.
Need to coordinate the course with golf now
We were sold a tee time of 3:20 for eighteen holes with cart. We in fact had to have the carts back by 5:00 pm and the course was closed. Completely. We feel a credit for the other 9 holes with cart would resolve the disappointment we felt.
Executive course layout
Executive course , 12 par 3's, 6 par 4's. Good layout with varying green elevations. Greens need consistency work, quick but have patches of different grasses.
Great value
Short course, couple of greens were a little rough, over a good time for the money.
Over charge
Hot deal stated - 18 holes - we arrived at our tee time and were told we could only play -9 - we were charged for 18- ???????????????????????? Who makes the change???? Any one care????????
Very nice staff. Basically a 18 hole par 3 course.
The course is in the middle of the Barefoot Bay mobile home park. Staff is very friendly. Course is in descent shape. It is very short only a few short par 4 's. No par 5 the rest shorter par 3s. Second time playing here. Will go back. Lively snowbird crowd at the bar.
