DO NOT PLAY AT FULL PRICE
I booked on Golfnow and got on for $20, my friend could not get the same rate and had to pay $40. The greens were just horrible with areas of sand and no grass.
I would play again once they improve the greens at $20 but its absurd to ask $40 for a par 60 course!
Poor conditions
Greens looked like they have never been taken care of. Staff was very friendly and they need to just advertise it as chip and putt there’s maybe like only 4 par 4s and the rest 3s
Not for tournament play, or strict players yet.
The course was in good shape. However the greens were not ideal as they were trying to fix some weeds and diseased spots. But the clubhouse was not trying to hide anything and was very open to the fact that they are repairing the course. There was no hidden gotcha. The bathrooms on the course were very clean. Water was provided on every hole. Plenty of rakes by the sand traps and overall very well maintained. The driving range is extremely small so don't plan on hitting driver for warm up. But this course has a certain charm.
Bad greens
The course was ok. Greens were really bad. The 19th hole kitchen was being redone. No food. I’m not sure I’ll be back until the greens are better. It was inexpensive so probably worth the money. I wish them luck getting course in better shape.
Greens in horrible shape.
Greens are in terrible shape. Pace of play slow. Would never go back
Horrible
Worst conditions of any golf course within 50 miles. This course used to be beautiful and well maintained 10 years ago. Now it really isn’t playable. Goose grass and crab grass have destroyed the greens, fairways, tee boxes. Sand traps were fair. Ponds did have water in them. Lightning came after 9 holes and we can’t get rain check or refund. Called GolfNow and phones aren’t working. We wasted $33.13 going there. Never again.😓😥👏
Worst condition
This is the worst condition golf course we have ever played. 1 green, number 10 was closed because it was being rebuilt. The other 17 greens are really in bad shape as goose grass and crab grass has over taken the greens, fairways and rough. This was a beautiful gold course 12 years ago when I first moved to this area. Present management and greens keepers have just let it go. There are much better courses in area that are no more expensive. Save time and frustration and play elsewhere. Not worth the price.
Barefoot Bay
Very nice short course in very good shape and well taken care of.
Fast Play
The course was in excellent shape for 90 plus degree end of July.
Awesome Staff
The staff was amazing ... Ernie. Clyl, Steve and Beth ... they went out of their way to accommodate us in every way .... we had a bit of an issue with clubs and they were amazing in handling the situation to make our visit amazing.
Thank you ... will be back soon.
Weather and tee times
I've played this course numerous times and for the most part enjoy it. My last round however I was not able to finish due to being asked to leave the course due to weather. We had just finished hole 4 of 18. We were told there were lightning strikes within 6 miles. However we saw no such thing. We waited an hour or so and was told we could continue since nothing was within 12 miles. Our tee time was 11:52 am. To be clear, thunderstorms in Florida this time of year are pretty much daily and I do understand the safety end of this. But I do not understand is why the staff and management has a "sorry about your luck" attitude about the fact that I paid for 18 holes but was not allowed to finish what I paid for. It seems to me that they were happy enough that they had my money and didn't care to supply what I paid for. I didn't have to complete my round that day. They could have supplied me with a rain check. Nope, not this course. Buyer beware, and keep in mind that it storms in Florida almost every day this time of year so the odds are you won't finish your round, and you will NOT get what you paid for, and they DO NOT care about that.
Greens are terrible
No 10 had no green….just a pin in the fairway. Did not like putting through three different kinds of grass, sand and all the holes on the greens
