Worst course I've literally ever played
I read reviews on this course which were bad but I thought nothing could be that bad, well it was.
I just got down here to Boca to stay with friends, we are from MA. We wanted to play golf but it's winter and I wanted to find a small cheap course to warm up and get loose OMG! Course was just bad. I know how this must sound but it's true, the tees were in bad shape, the fairways were in kept and like cement there was hardly grass on them. The greens were like temporary greens, I tried to fix a divot and the grass came out. My advice go to a putt putt you would a better experience
A dog track with great food
If you take their $39.95 special you'll be treated to a very complete breakfast and lunch buffet included. The deal is a one trick pony due to the horrible course conditions. The fairways are thin, flat, with little grass and many weeds. Large sand areas are unmaintained. You hit many thick shots because it is impossible to pitch a ball to thee green since there is no grass. Take your $40-$49 elsewhere
Greens are very good, but overall, it's really rough.
Played from the blues, (6884 yds). Tee boxes and greens are in decent condition and the course layout is very nice, but the fairways are in such dismal condition it negates the fun of playing a local, <$40 round of golf. Water hazards are virtually non-existent and that's ok, but the bunkers need fresh sand and waste areas are completelly unmaintained. New management knows all these things and is working to make a go of these very well thought out design. Would like to see it bouce back
Course needs better maintenance.
Fees were only about $30 per player, including lunch. Not bad for summer rates in South Florida. However, the course was not in good condition. The rough was too rough. It was very overgrown, This overgrowth extended to the fringe around fairways and greens. Many greens had patches without any grass on them. To be fair and excess of rain may have contributed somewhat to this overgrowth. However, I play a number of courses in the area, none of which were/are in this condition.
Please don't go here
Absolute sham of a course and experience. Slowest play in South Florida, staff is unfriendly and course is brutal. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
slowest play in the county
Constantly overbooked. If you "know" the starters you can go off on the nine that has less golfers. Most employees work hard with what they have to see that patrons have a good time. Unfortunitly the course needs work and it is not unsual for one of the nine's to be closed. This is more of a course for beginners. It is cheap to play but you get the course you pay for. Golfers should play elsewhere.
if not such a low price and nearby, wouldn't play it often
The pace of play is horrendous. Not because its a great track but simply because the staff overbooks the course and management does little to improve pace. However, as ridicilous as this sounds, at one point we were lucky enough to play the course late morning and there was no one ahead of us for 3 holes or behind us for 2 and yet this day a ranger came up to our group and told us we need to keep the pace moving. After respectfully telling him that we weren't holding anyone up and the course is normally so over booked that it was nice to be able to play at a comfortable pace with no waiting or delays, we were still chastized for pace as those we were small children so rudely that two members of our party lost their cool and returned firey comments back. We requested to speak with management who appologized yet defended his rangers actions stating that "they are trying to improve pace" to which I replied; "How about you dont book five foursomes per ten minutes". It ruined our round and the course truly doesn't deserve your money until it vastly improves. Its sad because the track is decent just poorly run.
Not very nice
The fairway are not very nice, missed a lot of grass !
No information close to the water hazard!
This course has great staff!
This course has one of the best staff I have seen.
Place needs lots of attention and care.
I think if Arnold Palmer visited here, he would either shut it down or overhaul it. Fairways need attention - full of weeds and in poor shape. Greens are nice and in good condition. The price is average for courses in the area, so I would suggest playing elsewhere, even if lunch is included here.
greens very fast due to ocean breezes
nice staff fairly quick round fairways need water greens very quick but fair
very bad condition, fairways, traps not maintained
would not recommend this course to anyone. Not worth even $20bucks to play. greens were ok, small
Not the best day
The starter was so dismissive. Although it was raining, the forecast only called for occasional showers. We asked him what his thoughts were, and he said it was going to rain all day. It cleared in 10 minutes. We told him we were ready to T off, he said ok, walked away and didn't return. We had to get our own cart, load our own gear and drive to the starter window.
Over booked. Rough Shape. Staff is clueless.
Played here a number of times when I had the membership and even when paying $9 for a round it didn't see worth the time. Waited over an hour past my tee time numerous times to get out and for the money you can play much better courses in the area.
Back when this was Boca Teeca it was a very nice club. It was in excellent condition. Tough times hit this as well as other courses in south FL. This course is now a pasture. Rumors upon rumors, including Arnold Palmer Golf Course management were taking over. This is one of those courses where it is extremely evident that absolutely no maintenance or care is given to the facility at any level.
This course is abysmal. Whatever the rates to play are...they are way overpriced. This is the worst golf facility I have ever played. Better off going to Boomers and playing some miniature golf.
