Gateway Park Executive Golf Course

Gateway is a good course but it can be a great experience. Golfers want to be pampered and feel extra special before, during and after a round. Let’s stop blaming it on the money. True enough if you build it, they will come. Let’s get the snack bar going, get some marshals, and have a steady 9 hole shootout tournaments. Let’s think out the box and make Gateway “The Place” to golf. I’m a big supporter of this course and I hope my review matters…if it doesn’t, at least I have shown I care about Gateway. Thank you.

The course was wide open (4pm on a weekend, summer). The fairways were in mostly good shape, tee boxes as well. Green were sandy from some maintenance work but still rolled decent, considering. Very soft greens. Would definitely play again for the $29 I paid.

The use of GolfNow was easy and very reasonable. Gateway is definitely a course all the locals should play at least once. Tell a friend or two.

The staff of the facility were the best part of this course. An outstanding course with a challenging tone. Weather here was perfect.

As great as the time on the course was, the staff made it exceptional. Will definitely return in the future.

Gateway GC provides a middle-handicap golfer with a fun opportunity play the game quickly and relatively cheaply on a well-kept 9-hole layout. Very casual setting. Fairways and greens are in good (not great) shape; par 3's and 4's can be very challenging, 5's not so much. Greens for the most part are smooth and putt true. Nice compact design. Traps need improvement - well groomed, but seem more like silt than sand. Great place to work on one's game.

If you go on a weekend, be prepared for a long round. I saw 2 groups of 5 and there wasn’t a course martial. Additionally, I feel the weekend brings out families…. That’s great to see the families together playing but it usually means a longer wait between holes and there seems to be an issue with understanding the concept of letting others play thru.
