Beyond SLOW
Skip this course, extremely slow pace of play & NO Marshall's on the course to alleviate this major problem. Definitely overpriced for what one would expect. Numerous other couses available on the Gold Coast, Definitely not worth the price or time - hard pas !
Nice course worth playing
First nine pace of play slow as behind veterans then they finish and pace great . Greens were playing slow. A lot of variety on holes. Enjoyed and would play again.
Bad Start
Tee off was for 1:00, they where running very late, we didnt tee off until 1:48.
I wouldn't have minded if they had told us earlier, the Course Marshall knew how long the wait was.
Also its cart on path at all times, what path its all dirt and dust.
New Course
Outstanding facilities and courses, staff very friendly and accommodating
All for the money
I really enjoy parkwood and the facilities that it brings but the 4 times i have played this course now it's been absolutely packed to the maximum number. It really brings the vibe down there. Tee times aren't spaced out enough. It just seems like they want to get as many people on and couldn't care less about nice smooth running tee times. Or at least make the 4 groups of 2 pair up. To make 2 groups of 4. I get people sometimes just want to hang with their mate, but this is an issue on this course. I've played 92 courses now and parkwood has by far the worst for this issue.
The course is great itself. A lot of people don't seem like rake bunkers or fix their divots on the greens.
Staff have always been friendly and the place is a joy to attend.
Easy access but in need of upgrades
Easy to get booked and play and walk course. Lots of other work going on around course but after recent heavy rains course struggling to maintain drainage and bunkers. Reasonable value for money but would only play again if couldn’t get on another course on the Gold Coast.
Would not recommend
Took 3.5h to play 10 holes before it got too dark, ridiculous (& paid for 18), nothing was moving and the front is Par 33 with mainly Par 3’s, fairways were average and greens rock hard. Felt like playing (if you can call it that) a Par 3 course, not recommended, sorry.

Ridiculous, took 3.5h to play 10 holes before it got too dark (paid for 18), nothing was moving & the front 9 has a lot of par 3’s, fairways not great and greens rock hard. Felt like playing (if you can call it that) a Par 3 course.
Tale of 2 courses
In my opinion this must be an extended 9 hole to 18 course. The front 9 is new and shows it. Very poor condition, like playing in a field . There were some interesting laid out holes - the par 3 4th especially but there were 5 par 3’s due to one hole being reduced to a 3 for local residents safety.
The back 9 was totally different, some good testing holes and a straight shot required - often especially off the tee.
The condition, especially the front 9 was poor, bare lies, sandy fairways, buggy path reduced to broken tarmac and rubble and no sand in bone dry bunkers.
Overall though this is a beginners course to enjoy a walk and not much else. Not one to play if you’re looking for a challenging teat of your ability
