Excellent experience
This course is a must for avid and intermediate players like myself
Love the layout and the fairways are second to none however since the recent rains, carts were mostly kept off the fairways which slows play and the green were not at a $76 a round standard.
Pace of play
It took 3 hours to play 9 holes and it was mid week game. Ashame the Marshall wasn’t out to monitor
Condition improving
The condition is improving after the floods, bunkers were good excluding a couple still GUR. Fairways were in good condition but the greens are under maintenance with some currently being patched.
Below avg. Has good potential but not maintained
Actual course differs from photos. Run down and needs maintenance.
The actual course layout is great.
Need a re vamp to it’s former glory.
Scenic and challenging
Top notch layout. Course still damp in places which made some standard fairway shots much harder. Greens mostly in great condition although a couple showed signs of damage. Pace of play slower than expected. Plan to return and play in better conditions
FUN DAY
Played with three very friendly guys. Despite the recent heavy rain, the course was in good condition. A most enjoyable day.
Tired course, still recovering from floods
My first time playing this course, and I was really excited as I've wanted to play here since I was a kid. Due to the floods, the course is tired and rundown. There were a few greens that were like tarmac, and the pace of play was dreadful, even when considering I was solo. Definitely not worth the $70 unfortunately.
Amazing Autumnal Day.
Terrific course, every time I play The Galdes I am always in awe at the condition of the course. 2 faults though but these will be due to the recent heavy rains: They being the 2 bunkers on the 11th hole near the green and the 17th green which was badly impacted by the floods. Can't complain though as the rain would have affected all courses on the GC. Love playing here.
Poor condition
The course is really well designed
Unfortunately the course was in really poor condition due to big recent storms and greens were very poor
The whole infrastructure is run down and need money spent to bring it up to its former condition.
It’s such a shame that it has been let go
Great course
An absolute great course! Considering how it was under water a week, if you didn’t know you wouldn’t! A well looked after course! Can’t wait to come back!
