Great place
The range is really high speed. The greens, fairways and tee boxes( other than 8) are all in great shape. Place is great but the pace is horrible. 2 1/2 hour 9 holes..
Wonderful Course but ...
Had a great time and I golfed with my daughter for the first time! She thoroughly enjoyed herself and so did I but was disappointed that the 8th hole was shortened. It is one of the best par 4's I have played in NJ and it may not play as a par 4 any longer. Other than that I will definitely return to play again.
Course Review
The range is awesome. If you haven’t been there in awhile every bay has a trackman. Very cool. Pace of play is always an issue, 2 1/2 hours for 9. The rough is a little burned out but the tee boxes, greens and fairways are all in great shape as usual. 8th hole is under construction so it’s a very short par 3 right now. Absolutely a great facility.
Great place to get quick 9
Great tee boxes
Great fairways
Great greens
Friendly ranger and starter
Rude Staff and Hole shut down
The course is ok. nice layout although the greens were a little chewed up. good amenities like a range and a restaurant on the course. my issue is with the staff. on the 8th hole as we were walking up the fairway an older gentleman in a golf cart drove up to us, started yelling at us, and threatened to ban us from the golf course. we were a little shocked and confused and asked why. he said that we aren't supposed to tee off of the teebox. we said we didn't and we teed off the fairway like the sign instructed us to. he said that the temporary tee boxes were up by the green and that the course is currently being sued by the neighboring residential development for errant golf balls going in to their parking lot. number one, this is a very unfortunate but crucial disadvantage the course has. an entire hole is mostly shut off and i'm not sure how successful they will be with the ongoing litigation with the neighboring building. number two, their instructions were not specific enough for us to know where the correct spot to tee off was. it said to tee off on the fairway and we did. we didn't know we had to walk up another 300 yards to tee off. number three, their enforcement of this was extremely rude, aggressive, and uncalled for. being approached, spoken to like children, and threatened to be banned for not following "rules" we weren't properly given is unacceptable. we will be staying far away from this course in the future. i advise anyone reading this to do the same.
Great course
This is a beautiful public 9-hole. It offers challenging holes. Very well kept. Pace of play was very slow. It is a course that welcomes beginner players. Which is not a bad thing. But it does affect the pace of play.
Staff is friendly,course is challenging
Had a great time! Everyone was so nice and helpful.
Solid course with a recent change to hole 8
Overall, the course is in great shape. The tee box at hole eight is closed (legal issues?) so number eight, normally a long par four, is playing as a 150 yard par 3; even so, with this challenging green complex, it’s no pushover. So in this configuration, there are 3 par 3s, 4 par 4s, and 2 par 5s. A good course to walk and get a reasonable test of golf. I especially appreciate the practice bunker and pitching green.
A Hidden Gem to Play despite a course change making it sn adventure
Hyatt Hills is a 9 hole hidden gem. But many are discovering it's charm. Challenging greens, sloping fairways and beautiful scenery adds to its charm....
With charm comes it's blemish...
the 8th hole change
The 444 yard long par 4 changed into a 125 yard par 3 !!!
A once wide fairways bordered by high trees on kne side and water on the other has been attacked by a neighboring condo community, and because if a few errant drives off the tee, it has been changed into a challenging par 3 ... the 2 tired elevated green has a pin position on the small 6 yards by 12 yards upper their. Maybe a par 3, but plays as a hard par 4
In my opinion, for the condo community sake, change it into a long Par 3 with tee boxes of 145/185/200 yards and the 6th hole can be elongated by 40 yards into a long 410 Par 4 (there is room fir the tee boxes to be pushed back and the fairways is wide enough to accommodate it)
Otherwise, Hyatt Hills is still a must play 9 hole course.
Best 9h in this neighbourhood
Staff is friendly. Course is fairly easy. Wide fairways, not much of hazards, but still offers a bit of a challenge. Well maintained.
