About
Colts Neck Golf Club is one of central New Jersey's most popular courses. The diverse course offers everything from Scottish-style bunkers to sparkling lakes. Tall golden fescue rough borders the fairways and the greens are large and undulating. The course is seemingly short at only 6,236 yards but it shouldn't be taken lightly. It's much more challenging than it appears. The layout finishes with two of its toughest holes. The 17th has a tough green fiercely guarded by out-of-bounds and the course saved the most difficult hole for last. This par 3 will test even the most seasoned golfers. In addition to the golf course, Colts Neck also has a 25-station driving range that stays open late. It's a great spot for getting in some practice after work.

Golfer Reviews
Worthwhile
The course is a little quirky. but a nice design to it overall. The greens were true and we're in good shape the fairways were well-maintained and it excellent condition. Tthere was an attentive ranger on course who was very polite and kept things rolling along. Overall a very good experience.
Colts Neck Great Course
Excellent course, the Starter Marty was excellent,
nice facilities, enjoyed the driving range,
and really enjoyed the course.
Very nice course
Conditions were very good, greens were fast but fair. As a first time player there were a couple of blind shots but mostly everything was right in front of you. The course could use better signage directing you from hole to hole. And a few of the holes felt like the were right on top of each other, greens close to next tee box,, having to drive the cart back into the approach shot. All said and done I would play this course again.
Nice Facility!
Great course and only minutes from my home...the course was in great shape with a few challenging holes! What made it even better was the great deal I got from " golfnow" T-times.....
Good for short hitters
Course us close to home also it has lots of short holes which help in scoring will play it again
Great condition, cheap deal the day of
Course was in great condition, we played in the afternoon and they let us go out as a 2some and finished in 3:30. Greens were soft but true. Overall great experience, would definitely play again.
Challenging and in great shape
This course is in great shape from tee to green . Though not a long course it is challenging and picturesque . The staff is friendly but not over bearing. The pace of play has be fine the last two times I've been there. Can't wait to play there again.
a premium on accuracy off the tees.
course in great condition & greens very fast despite
light rain on & off during round of 18 holes. We had
the course pretty much to ourselves. Scored a great
round from the mid tees. Shot 78, with two three putts. The 19th hole never seems to be open when
finishing a round. About the 6th time there.
Beautiful course!
Played the course on a $40 hot deal, half the normal price! Beautiful course, w quick and tricky greens to putt. Chose your club wisely on the tee box, put it in play, and there are low scores to be had here.
Two draw backs... 1. We played on a 90 degree day in June, had seen on their site NO SHORTS allowed, and called to confirm this. The person who answered said yes, that is our policy. When we show up to a course that was about 1/3 full, we were the ONLY 2 on the course without shorts on!! EXTREMELY POOR customer service Colts Neck!!
2. Their policy is you can NOT purhase any alcoholic beverages if you are not a member?!?
Colts Neck, it appears you don't want greens fees at your course. If this is the case, why be Semi Private.......
Great greens
This course is not long but nice layout with fast greens with good contours.
Fun Track in Central NJ
Caught a Hot Deal Price plus bonus Discount from Golf Now on a Saturday to compensate a 1 hr drive. If you can keep the ball in the fairway and hit decent iron shots, you can really score her with 5 par 5s and 6 par 3s ( less than 6300 from back tees). Fairways and greens were in great shape; greens were quick and true.
Great course friendly staff
The course was great, played on a Saturday mid afternoon in 3 1/2 hours. The only fault with the course at all is that you cannot buy alcohol in the clubhouse or from the cart girl unless you are a member. Not sure what that is about, it does detract from the overall experience, but it is still a great experience.
Colts Neck
I played golf at Colts Neck with my nephew and the course was in awesome condition with fast and challenging greens. The course overall is very challenging. You will be forced to use something other than driver off every tee if you wanna score well and not lose golf balls in the penal areas and tall grass found throughout. Also, its great that the driving range is right near the first green and you can practise by hitting off grass!!!! Just a great place to play, I highly recommend it to players of all handicap. Try it, you won't be disappointed. Well worth it. .. And no, I do not work there or have a membership... I live in Toms River, NJ. Have fun!
Colts Neck GC
Great layout tough greens roll is true. Be ready for distance as lot of carry tee to green
Colts Neck Golf Club
Course was in great shape, especially after a tough winter. Always enjoy this course, playing from the tips.
It's challenging and course management is a must.
Not a walking course. Wish they had more T times at reasonable rates offered on Golf Now.
