Colts Neck Golf Club
About
Colts Neck Golf Club is one of central New Jersey's most popular courses. The diverse course offers everything from Scottish-style bunkers to sparkling lakes. Tall golden fescue rough borders the fairways and the greens are large and undulating. The course is seemingly short at only 6,236 yards but it shouldn't be taken lightly. It's much more challenging than it appears. The layout finishes with two of its toughest holes. The 17th has a tough green fiercely guarded by out-of-bounds and the course saved the most difficult hole for last. This par 3 will test even the most seasoned golfers. In addition to the golf course, Colts Neck also has a 25-station driving range that stays open late. It's a great spot for getting in some practice after work.

Great deal with Golf Now
Colts Neck is one of the best courses in NJ. The wind and overcast made it too cold but I blame that on the weather forecast. Golf Now tee times is very limited and hope they provide more tee times. Otherwise, it's too expensive to play.
2nd best golf course in NJ
My second favorite course in NJ, first being neshanic valley. The value would be better if you could walk the course but there are a couple of holes that it's very necessary to ride. Pace of play can get slow when it's crowded. Other than that, it's a beautiful course with a great layout. Must play.
Fantastic Experience
Colts Neck is Fantastic. The Layout is Challenging, not overly long from the whites. Several Interesting holes. Course was played on a cold windy day, fantastic hot deal from golf now which included a bucket of balls and cart.
Looking forward to playing the course in the spring.
Well Stocked Pro Shop, beautiful bar with complimentary coffee....just what was needed on a cold day.
Great Staff. Makes me wish I could afford a membership!
Was in great shape for almost winter! Hardly a leaf on the fairways. Was really impressed with the staff and maintenance crew who were all happy and cordial. Would love to be able to afford a membership here. For now will have to settle on golf now's discounts.
The course was in great shape
This is a well maintained course with some challenging holes. The greens were very fast. It was a bargain in the hot deals section!
not the most exclucive course in coltsneck
arrived one and a quarter hour early and they said I was too early to get a cart. The grass area of the range was closed and the mats and balls were in poor shape. we were moving along nicely (under a four and half hour round) and told to pick it up, there was a twosome in front of our foursome. The greens were burned out on two holes. They should take out the eye sore on the seventeen hole.(an unmaintained shed...). The attendant gave me an attitude when I did not want my clubs cleaned. This is not an exclusive club in colts neck as ADVERTISED. but an example of poor management that includes rude staff and some members. The twosome that joined us were members and one of them did not have the common sense to introduce them selves. All in All worst golf experience ever.
this course was in excellent shape
fairways were pristine and also the greens. greens were faster then i have played before. cousre layout excellent would play here again
This course was in great shape for being late in the season.
This is the first time I played Colts Neck Golf Course and I was very impressed with the staff and the course itself. I will definitely play this course again and hope to find more tee times through the Golf Now website.
Great Condition and Pace of Play
Course was in great shape and a less than 4 hours for the round on a beautiful Friday afternoon was a plus. For the golf now price of 35.00 it was a great deal.
Great bargain!
Very nice course for the money. $50 got us greens fees and cart, range balls, and a 2 for 1 drink special at Huddy's tavern right down the street (just bring your scorecard). This semi-private course has the feel of a nice country club. Beautifully maintained course. We played twice in the past couple of weeks and the second time was after they aerated, so greens were bumpy. Prior to that, the greens were good.
Excellent Golf Course
Course is always in very good condition. I like the layout and the greens are a good size. One of the best semi-private courses open to the public in this area.
Course is a challenge for all skill levels
Beautifully landscaped, fairways were very well maintained.
Excellent course always well maintained
Generally in great condition. However lately the 14th hole specially the greens have bald spots.
Good course
This course has some challenging holes. The greens are very fast. Most of the fairways and greens were in good conditions. Fairways approaching two of the holes on back nine were not very good. Overall a good course to play.
Awesome course!
.Was the best conditioned course I've played in NJ all year. Felt like I was playing at a private club. Would definitely play again.
Great course
First time playing this semi private course. Unfortunately we were behind several groups playing in their club championship which significantly slowed pace of play. Ranger was very apologetic. Course was in great shape and greens were running fast. Great value for Hot Deal on weekend.
Good course, fair challenge
Course plays longer than the card says because of the many dog legs. Need to keep it in the fairway because the fescue is unforgiving. Need to play this course several times to learn it. Course is in very good shape. Pace of play was very good.
Good course
Playing. Again. Tuesday. Good course hope to play it better the 2nd time around
Colts Neck Golf Club
Excellent course and well maintained. Great value if you can play after 2 p.m. This is a semi private course and a great value for $50
Course good, as long as you keep up the pace.
Pace of play was ok, but they kept trying to push us. We were a foursome with one beginner, playing as fast as possible. While we weren't pushing the twosome in front of us, we weren't lagging that far behind, i'd say we were 5 minutes off of pace. And the twosome behind us had no problems either. I appreciate trying to speed the game up, but overall i felt for the beginner who clearly was rattled.
Course conditions were great - however several things were "downgraded" from previous years. Most notably the carts did not have GPS/Pace features, while I recognize it's a luxury it does help speed up pace. Also the snack stand - which used to have great food - was closed.
